Beyonce Knowles opened the 20th World Music Awards held at the Sporting Club in the Avenue Princesse Grace, Monte Carlo last night and won the Award for Best international Female and also did the opening performance. The event was hosted by the Desperate Housewives Star Jesse Metcalfe and also hosted by former Destiny’s Child singer Michelle Williams.

Leona Lewis the 23 year old UK X Factor winner was the star headline though, picking up 2 Gongs one for Worlds Best Pop Female Artist and also Worlds Best New Artist which is good news for this lady as she narrowly missed out on an award at the MTV European Music Awards held last week in Liverpool. Leona Lewis is a highly talented artist and we feel many awards will be heading her way in future years. She was unable to attend to pick up the awards in person though!
