The Premiere of He’s Just Not That Into You” was held last night at Grauman’s Chinese Theatre, Los Angeles and with a strong female cast line up who all attended the event including Scarlett Johansson, Drew Barrymore, Jennifer Connelly, Ginnifer Goodwin and last but not least Jennifer Aniston.
Scarlett Johansson was the top headline with her jump from blonde to near brunette look causing a stir on the red carpet, thumb galleries below and full size later in this article. The jury is out on which is the better, it’s blonde for us!

He’s Just Not That Into You is an American romantic comedy film, based on the self-help book of the same name by Greg Behrendt and Liz Tuccillo, which, in turn, was based on a line of dialogue in Sex and the City. Produced by Drew Barrymore’s Flower Films. Featuring an ensemble cast, it stars Ben Affleck, Jennifer Aniston, Drew Barrymore, Scarlett Johansson, Justin Long, Jennifer Connelly, Ginnifer Goodwin, Kevin Connolly, and Bradley Cooper; and is being directed by Ken Kwapis.
On June 26, 2008, the release date was moved from October 24, 2008 to February 13, 2009 then to February 6, 2009
Plot:
The plot chronicles the romantic misadventures of several individuals in their twenties and thirties. The common thread is that one person in each relationship is more enamored with the other person than vice versa. At the core of these multiple stories is Gigi (Ginnifer Goodwin), a young woman who repeatedly misinterprets the signs that men give her about their level of interest in her. The more experienced and romantically successful Alex (Justin Long), the manager of a bar, advises her on how to understand men.
Other plotlines include married couple Janine (Jennifer Connelly) and Ben (Bradley Cooper), who are going through a rough patch—leading him to flirt with Anna (Scarlett Johansson), an aspiring singer. Anna, in turn, is dating Connor (Kevin Connolly), but is clearly less into him than he is into her. The final major plot arc is Neil (Ben Affleck) and Beth’s (Jennifer Aniston) story. They have cohabited for several years, but break up when Beth desires to get married and Neil refuses.
Drew Barrymore, one of the film’s producers, is also featured as a newspaper editor who helps Connor promote his real-estate business.
Purely based on the trailer, with an all star cast line up like this you normally find these sort of films can be incredibly good or unfortunately in the not so good category. This for us looks to be in the latter, weakly funny, weak story line that is propped up by some very talented and attractive actresses, this film dips below our neutral rating and is rated as 2 stars out 5 plus half a star for the sheer wall to wall highly attractive female actress count that will certainly pull in the punters and ensure reasonable box office success. Final Rating 2 and half stars out 5Worth a look if you are a fan of any or all of these actresses/actors.
