The closing days at New York Fashion Week and Agyness Deyn has yet to make an appearance. We know she is in New York as she is currently living there with her rumoured fiancee The Strokes Guitarist Albert Hammond Jr and has been taking it easy of late after her meteoric rise to fame from chip shop girl from Lancashire to Top Supermodel.

But Designer Anna Sui managed to coax her onto the catwalk to parade her collection, and Agyness Deyn and her brief quiet spell has paid dividends and she looks sensational.

As yet it is undisclosed whether she is to appear at London Fashion week that opens today but an appearance by the 26 year old cannot be ruled out!

A highly relevant picture this one as it was literally a year ago when the Cheryl and Ashley marriage was in a totally different situation which we will not dwell on here, but everybody who follows this lady will be aware of, but as can be said here quite confidently “what a difference a year makes”

The couple looked supremely happy together and attended the event but left the party at about 11pm but the other Girls Aloud girls who attended stayed on with their partners with Sarah Harding joined by boyfriend Tom Crane, Kimberley Walsh was with Justin Scott, Nadine Coyle was with US star Jason Bell and Nicola Roberts was with her new boyfriend Charlie Fennell.

The Brit Awards was held last night at Earls Court in London and their was a huge brit celeb turnout for the event. Check the main FJ Girls Blog for the full event details and coverage with event photo’s and vids.

Although the main event is the thing, the after party events are also just as good as the event itself, if not better. The War Childs Gig was held at the recently renamed O2 Shepherds Bush Empire in London and featured joint performances from a supergroup made up of non other than Chris Martin, Take That’s Gary Barlow, Brandon  Flowers of the Killers and Bono of U2.

Chris Martin told the crowd how disapointed he was at the Coldplay zero award win and fans amongst the crowd inlcuded his wife Gwyneth Paltrow (below).Other female celebs included Sienna Miller (top), Courtney Love and Natalie Imbruglia.

Kat Deluna has a new single out called “Unstoppable”  which is from her second album called “Inside Out” which has a release date of approx Summer 2009.

This single features Lil Wayne, it’s a sort of r n b with a bit of rock thrown in for good measure.

She has released previous singles with limited success in the US but strangely getting into the Top 10 in European Countries?

A bit of background on this lady for those not in the know.

Kathleen Emperatriz “Kat” DeLuna (born November 17, 1987  in The Bronx, New York) is an American pop/R&B singer of Dominican heritage. Her mother, born in the Dominican Republic, owns a bakery shop in downtown Newark. She is currently signed to Akon’s label Konvict Muzik. Konvict originally announced its intention to re-release her debut album, 9 Lives but her recent announcement on myspace that she is back in the studio working on her second album, suggests that 9 Lives will not be re-released.

Kat Deluna – Unstoppable

The Verdict:

Good Intro, this lady knows how to make a statement with some enormous hair to get things underway. She’s got us sitting upright in our chair within seconds in a very obedient manner and that doesn’t happen very often here! Into the song, pump in some base, throw in some guitar, lace it with some decent vocals add some Lil Wayne and things are looking good. The negs to this song are once you are into 2 mins plus, “unstoppable” is repeated endlessly here, maybe could have cut down on this word just a touch even if it is the title of the song. Not many other negatives apart from that. 

Video is OK if not outstanding, looks a bit low budget with limited props but who needs all that when you have Kat strutting and thrashing around. Positives are, we like this lady, she has a gutsy style, her Bronx roots are definetly kicking into this song, the Lily Wayne feat adds an extra dimension, and we love the r n b and rocky overlay, its fresh, different and original.

Technically this song will not win any awards with the repitition marking this song down, and chart success we are not so sure either, but we like this lady, vocally she is fine, she rocks, we like her song, that rocks as well, and  its the gutsy originality and direction of this number that shines through for us and overcomes its other shortcomings. Kat Deluna just about makes a Rating 3 and half stars out 5 and for an upcoming star a very respectable rating indeed.

The Brit Awards 2009 are being held tonight in London at Earls Court and Coldplay and Duffy lead the nominations list with the highest counts.

The show will be hosted by Kylie Minogue, James Corden and Matthew Horne and Performing live tonight will be U2, Kings of Leon, Coldplay, Take That, Pet Shop Boys, Lady GaGa, Duffy, Estelle and The Ting Tings.

With the New York Fashion Week in full swing, the female celebs have been flocking in their droves to this event and Mischa Barton amongst other big names  have been focused on the coveted front row seats, not only to get the best look at the latest fashion, but also its quite handy for a bit of media exposure, but you’ve got to be seen to be sitting with the right people. It’s tough at the top……. it really is!

This means with female celebs in abundance it’s a good chance to do justice to our favourite new in word,  and thats a bit of “spotting”, as in celeb spotting.

Victoria Beckham is the main headline as she showed  her new range at the New York Fashion Week  on 16 Feb and it got the major thumbs up from celebs and fashion critics alike. We’ve seen various pictures of her throughout the American Fashion Week but this one, in our not too expert opinion, when it comes to women’s fashion, of her pictured at the new Armani Store opening in 5th Avenue, the following day  on 17 Feb is where she seems to shine, and the word “posh” we think certainly springs to mind.

Kate Moss is never far from the headlines and the pregnancy rumour is getting ever stronger, but she consistently denies she is pregnant, but recent photographs show she seems to have acquired a slightly fuller and curvier figure and the famous “waif” like look is no more.

She’s recently been in a photo shoot for the Spring Issue of New York Magazine where she partially strips and her new look fuller figure is revealed. Apparently she has started wearing a bra for the first time in her life as her boobs have grown quite substantially which coincides with Kate launching her very own lingerie line which is quite handy for testing purposes!
