Amy Winehouse is currently working on her third album in St Lucia and was due to return to London to appear at the Shepherds Bush Empire on May 31 for an anniversary event for her record label along with other stars, but she has decided to pull out and no reason was given according to Reuters.

Amy as fans will know is no stranger to this “no show” behaviour but delving deeper recent headlines stating she has been rushed into hospital with chest pains this was more of a precautionary move than an accident/emergency type situation may be the reason behind this last minute pull out, as we know she loves to perform live in her home town and it would take something pretty serious to stop that from happening.

The record company has said “Amy would like to apologise to her fans who bought tickets for the show.”

There has been reports in a lot of the media that her current rehab has curbed her drug addiction but heavy alcohol dependency has replaced it. It appears she may have left London behind, but it also appears her demons have followed her to St Lucia and are not so easy to shake off.  

Apparently there is a documentary being made about Amy Winehouse and her turbulent lifestyle in the pipeline following in the footsteps of a recent one done by Britney Spears. By all accounts it will be an all cards on the table, warts and all  style, which could make very interesting viewing which some people may find uncomfortable to watch.  This may shed some light on the woman behind the turbulent headlines, if the filming actually goes ahead without any problems! 

Her record company gets top marks for their patience with Amy, with the third album still in the pipeline and has been for some time now, and cancelled live gigs, but they know there’s a vast amount of talent here, and all you can do is simply wait. How long they will carry on doing this for Amy Winehouse though remains to be seen!
