Britney Spears, Madonna, Beyonce and many other stars pay tribute to Michael Jackson!

Britney Spears has joined other musicians paying tribute to Michael Jackson, who died of a heart attack in Los Angeles on Thursday afternoon on June 25,  its in all the papers as of today, the internet is groaning with the headlines  and this is a shock headline on a sad day with a serious loss to the music industry and the world at large. Soon after the Farah Fawcett death announcement, Michael Jackson also passed away, this is a female celebrity website but an icon like this dying at 50 cannot go unnoticed on this site. As a mark of respect we have suspended all female celebrity news on this site and all our other sites. No Wimbledon News. No Glastonbury News basically NO NEWS. We  have taken a female celeb angle on this to see how the female stars have reacted, they have all come out in shock paying tribute to the death of one of the greatest all time entertainers.

A statement from Britney Spears

“I was so excited to see his show in London,” the singer said in a statement. “We were going to be on tour in Europe at the same time and I was going to fly in to see him. He has been an inspiration throughout my entire life and I’m devastated he’s gone!”

A statement from Katy Perry on her Twitter page  simply “Oh My God”

A statement from Beyonce:

“This is such a tragic loss and a terrible day,” and also stated  “The incomparable Michael Jackson has made a bigger impact on music than any other artist in the history of music. He was magic. He was what we all strive to be. He will always be the King of Pop!

A statement from Lisa Marie Presley:

“I am so very sad and confused with every emotion possible.

A statement from Sheryl Crowe who worked with Michael Jackson in the Eighties.

“His was a rare talent that we witness once in a lifetime,” she said. “One who makes such an indelible mark that for generations singers and dancers attribute him as inspiration.  I had the great privilege of watching him every night doing what he did best—entertain. I am grateful to have known him for the 2 years I worked for him and will mourn his loss with his many millions of fans across the world.”

UK Channels will be broadcastinbg tributes on  Channel 5 at 7pm  and Sky 1 at 8pm will be airing Michael Jackson tributes tonight. Multiple US networks have also aknowledged they will be changing busy Friday schedules and airing tributes.

The Glastonbury Festival currently in full swing will be holding a Tribute to Michael Jackson and rescheduling performances..

Other tributes will be held across the globe.

Michael Jackson came from a performing and musical family and started his career at age 11. The album “Thriller” for which he is renowned for was the Biggest Selling Album of all Time , and is one of the few artists to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Twice. He has provided musical inspiration to many of the modern day stars that aknowledge the sheer musical talent that he had and this is a a huge loss to all concerned!

The timing of his death is particularly sad as he was due to perform a 50 date sell out tour in the UK the tour being called “This is it”.
