Anne Keothavong the 25 year old UK Tennis player who is currently the UK No1  and ranked No49 in the world will be performing at Wimbledon on 22 June and carrying the nations flag as best hopeful to achieve a Brit success story on home turf. Risng star this lady, she’s made three semi finals since her entry into the WTA Tour this season which has propelled her into the Worlds Top 50 in startling fashion. This high point has been followed by a very recent low when she played at the French Open in Paris  and was for a want of a better word “crushed” into defeat the score being 6-0, 6-0.  A 2 and very rapid straight set defeat at the hands of non other than the World No1 Russian Player Dinara Safina. A wake up call for Keothavong and a taste of what standards are required to get into the World Top 10 in Womens Tennis, make no mistake.

How she deals with this early exit in the French Open and applies it to Wimbledon is critical to her success there, but she is a persistent and patient player, important qualities, there is ability here as World Ranking form shows, she has come from humble beginnings playing Tennis in Hackney, London to gracing the courts of Wimbledon and this is not an overnight success story, but a slow and steady slog getting her ever closer to the top.

Difficult to predict what her level of success at Wimbledon will be, but that match against Safina may just have upped her mindset and raised her game level up just a few notches, it could be surprises either way!

She has had a good draw at this years Wimbledon and is set to play Austrian World no81 Patricia Mayr, and chances of victory look good.

Wimbledon 2009 London 22 June

Minka Kelly along with Leighton Meester have been coming up as hot searches on the site after  one of our articles featuring them on set of “The Roommate” featured on the Sports Illustrated site on 18/19 June and hammered our server about 24-36 hours.

So we thought it migh be a good idea to get a couple of Minka Kelly pap shots, one close up, and one full length for the fashionistas to see what all the fuss is about. Seen outside of the El Rey Theatre for the Gavin Rossdale show on June 6th would be very handy in the Los Angeles area.

She was currently filming with Leighton Meester of Gossip Girl Fame recently on the new film “Roommate” but according to Leighton Meester on Twitter (the one we are following anyway) filming has finished as of today! Minka Kelly is famous for starring in Friday Night Lights.

All we have to say is …….Very nice indeed………… even in ripped bleached stained jeans!!!

This film has only recently started production, as in filming, this week and the set is currently on location in Tybee Island in Savannah, Georgia and stars non other than Miley Cyrus and also Australian actor Liam Hemsworth and is based on the novel by Nicholas Sparks. It is slated for a very accurate release date of 8 January 2010 assuming all production goes to plan. All photos are as far as we can make out part of the filming hence the very unusual sour faced Miley instead of the normal Smiley Miley we are used to. Got to be said she is quite a convincing actress!

 The cast includes Miley Cyrus who plays the lead Veronica “Ronnie” Miller, Kelly Preston, Liam Hemsworth, Bobby Coleman, Lance E. Nichols, Pastor Harris,
Hallock Beals.

The Plot:

Miley Cyrus plays Veronica a rebellious teenage girl who has endured a devastating divorce and now lives with her mother whilst her father who she hasn’t seen for some time lives in Wilmington, North Carolina a small beach town where he is creating an art piece for the local community and living the simple life. She is sent there by her mother to spend time with her father to heal their soured relationship and this film focuses on love including first love, family love and its other manifestations.

This film has got to be as far removed from Hannah Montana “The Movie” as you can get, a very serious romantic drama style film and from what we’ve seen in the photos a very sour faced (acting) non smiley cyrus, but its all in the name of acting and this film is still in its very early stages. Rihanna will be in the media nest week thats for sure, as she will be attending and testifying against Chris Brown who will also be attending in Court on Monday 22nd June. Media frenzy on this one as you can imagine but no media rights are available for in court broadcasting, instead artists are being brought in to sketch the court room scene and people in attendance.

We think here, it is probably the way Rihanna would like it, as she comes across as a bit of a dark horse private type, especially when it comes to matters of a personal nature, and media banning from the court room avoids turning this very serious matter into some sort of circus show.

Brown has tried to have the date pushed back recently but the court hearing which will be taking place in a court in Los Angeles looks set to go ahead. So far according to many media sources we have only heard Rihanna’s side of the story, Chris Brown’s is still to be stated but normally when dates are asked to be pushed back, the omens are not good for those requesting such a move.

Chris Brown 20, faces two felony counts of assault and making criminal threats stemming from an incident that took place in a parked car in Los Angeles in February, the day before the Grammy Awards.

This is a case that celebrities and normal people alike will be watching to see what the outcome is. It’s a morbidly interesting one as violence in the home with cohabiting people is classed as domestic violence and is  difficult territory legally. Take the same assault/violence outside the home in a public place even if it is inside a car, as is the case here, this is classed as assault, and is legally very clear cut,  and carries serious consequences with imprisonment being the likely outcome if the court rules in Rihanna’s favour.

Jennifer Lopez and Alex O’Loughlin are currently in the process of filming for this new rom com film called “The Back Up Plan”, on set location is currently Pasadena in California. They are currently doing reshoots as of 18 June of certain scenes to get the final footage spot on, and some photos are below of Jennifer Lopez filming different scenes or in between takes.

This film is a comedy and research has dug up some information revealing what its all about and here’s our version of what its all about.

Back Up Plan Film Plot.

The Back Up Plan is a film about Zoe (Jennifer Lopez) who after many years of dating has decided waiting for the right man is taking a lifetime. Hell bent on motherhood by which ever way possible, she decides to go it alone and this forms the  basis of her so called Plan B or  her “back up plan” hence the films title. On the day of her artificial insemination, just afterwards as sods law would have it, Zoe meets Stan (Alex O’Loughlin) a man that just could be the one, but there’s no going back on what she’s just done and things look set to get very complicated indeed. Should she tell or should she keep quiet?

Early in the relationship she tries to hide early signs of pregnancy hoping he won’t notice, which turns the romance into a bit of a comedy caper  for Zoe trying to pull a fast one, and gets Stan completely confused wondering what the hell is going on. When Zoe reluctantly decides to “spill the beans” on her erratic behavior, Stan surprisingly commits fully and says he wants IN even if he isn’t the father.

The Nine month clock ticks very loudly in this film adding pace, drama and confusion and it results in both of them getting “cold feet”, and the audience wondering what will happen next and whether they finally will go the whole hog together.

The film looks set ot be released Springish 2010 with a similar timing to Jennifer Aniston and “the Baster” which also has a very similar theme.

Currently going into overload on our Britney photo feed, here’s some more photos of Britney Spears finally gracing her presence in London town and doing what all woman love doing and thats having a serious days shopping and where better place to do it. Of course the crowds in London got wind of her shopping spree and here’s a typical scene at one of her shopping stops…..total chaos!

After shopping all day, Britney Spears stopped off at the stylish Jack Wills: University Outfitters (photo above). There she did some more shopping and changed into a new white dress that she had just purchased. (photo below)

The big headline as most people are probably aware of is there was a bit of a location mix up (again this happened in the US)  when she performed live in Manchester, its all across the wires and it goes something like this

“Whats up London ” is the line she used whilst she was  performing live in Manchester!

As you can imagine this didn’t go down to well with the Northern audience and she probably got the performance done and made a hasty exit. We know why this happened doesn’t take much to work out, she was performing in London for 8 nights in a row and probably used that line every night, it stuck in her routine, one stadium looks much the same as the other and she just used the same line she’s been using 8 times before ……..only er ………in the wrong town! Easily done but still doesn’t look good which ever way you cut it!

Photo below is from her previous day in London another classic shot with some stunned fans in the background, you can almost here them saying “OMG It’s Britney“.

It might explain why we have no pictures of her shopping in Manchester, probably didn’t fancy taking the risk,  she made a rapid return to London to do that.

Get the impression Britney likes London and its obviously sticking in her thoughts when shes delivering her “Whats Up….” line no matter where she is, and London likes her, she’s broad minded and has plenty of life experiences and has got some wilder tendencies which would fit quite nicely into the London scene, without a problem.

She does like those Orange Rimmed sunglasses doesn’t she, third day in a row and counting!

Britney’s next stop on her UK leg of the “Circus” Tour is Dublin. Watch for further news!
