The GI Joe Rise of Cobra Film Premiere was held in Tokyo at Lala Port Toyosu  on 27 July,  and the cast of this film attended, including of course the female stars Sienna Miller and Rachel Nichols and non other than Sienna’s sister Savannah Miller who is not in the film. Others including Channing Tatum, Jenna Dewan, Lee Byung-Hun, Lorenzo Di Bonaventura, Marlon Wayans,   and Stephen Sommers were also present.

The media have picked up on Sienna Millers choice of red carpet attire and the fashionista blogs are coming out on this one with ”sack the stylist” being the order of the day. Not sure what to make of this number here, it does look a bit “circus ringmasterish” but its in keeping with the role she plays in the film, so what can we say. Rachel Nichols chose the more traditional red carpet option in a blinding backless red number and carried on dazzling regardless!

Jennifer Lopez looks to be back , she’s dominating the news wires and it was her official birthday on July 24th and not satisfied with one birthday bash she had another one billed as a reprise just to let everybody know that she is special, and one birthday just doesn’t cut it when your name is J Lo.

When you are multi talented and are an american actress, singer, record producer, dancer, fashion designer and television producer you need to celebrate LARGE and also throw in a few rules to let the guests know this is no ordinary party, and also just who is the boss here in this party scenario.

Madonna was amongst the top billing guests at this party of parties held on 24 July at New York’s Hotel Griffou and other celebrity guests included Rihanna, Beyonce Knowles, Alicia Keys and Mary J Blige. The J Lo party rule was enforced vigorously and that was “no mobiles at my party” I don’t care who you are, and all the stars  were forced to hand over their mobile phones and any cameras before they were allowed into  to celebrate with Jen.

As if that was not enough the second bash was thrown on Saturday night by husband Marc Anthony at midtown Manhattan’s Edison Ballroom taking part in “An Evening for LoLa” as part of the continued J Lo birthday celebrations. photo above Splash

Before the celebrations there was no day off for J Lo on her special day. Filming is well underway for the new Joan Jett Biopic called “The Runaways” and Dakota Fanning the child actress that is growing up very fast and who plays Cherie Currie who was part of the all girl rock band callec “Joan Jett and The Blackhearts” that caused chart mayhem in the 70’s, has been spotted on set of this production. You would not recognise her if you saw her in the street. Photo below. Unbelievable…the wonders of makeup.!

First saw this actress Dakota Fanning in a modern remake of War of the Worlds a film that also starred Tom Cruise and her performance in that film stuck in the mind years afterwards, she was very very young, and it was incredibly clear she would be an actress for many years to come… a sort of in the blood Drew Barrymore kind of thing. 

Quite a few new cast members are appearing in this filming the most interesting one being Elvis Presley’s grand daughter Danielle Riley Keough (pictured below) who plays  Marie Currie the other girl band member. Photo below with authentic 70’s clothing, hair styles and of course luggage:

The one person that everybody is interested in, and we have left till last, is the person that plays the lead singer Joan Jett which is played by non other than Kristen Stewart of Twilight fame. Due to over popularity on this site, and we are talking crashing servers here,  she no longer appears on this site, hence the low key mention on this article, but has her very own  new site which is  a new K Stew type Fan Site in the FJ Girls style called Kristen Media.
