Leighton Meester along with Ed Westwick and Blake Lively were spotted yet again on their regular shoot of Gossip Girl in NYC and the venue this time was Sotheby’s. The angle we are taking this week is a tongue in cheek fashionista one, who’s got the style, who hasn’t, who’s got the curves and is showing them off very well thank you very much, and who may have gone a bit wrong in the footwear department half way through the shoot.

Leighton Meester looks to have upped her shoe profile in the final photo, fashion style cred has been restored, we’ve gone from disaster to another wow and she gets the two thumbs up here!

Coming from a Leighton Meester fan and a fierce anti UGG’s protester, Blake Lively steals the show here, no contest initially, but we do like Leighton’s dress and the hairdo, but as you’ve probably guessed………lose the boots girl which she does in the side by side comparison above and comes up smelling of roses. Result Both look equally good!

The Leighton Meester Boots we think were an in between shoots comfy footwear option, a sort of “lets stick these on and see what comes up in the celebrity blogs tomorrow” sort of thing, and something to catch celebrity bloggers out. Didn’t work here did it!

After last weeks hospitalisation of Mischa Barton on 15 July under what can only be classed as highly secretive circumstances ,it was stated by various media sources that Mischa had been sectioned and placed under psychiatric care at Cedars-Sinai Medical Centre.

It has been revealed that after just a week she is showing signs of improvement and looks set to carry on with her upcoming work commitments which includes the new CW TV Show “A Beautiful Life” where she plays a pill popping supermodel.

Her publicist has been quoted as saying Mischa was “still seeking treatment but making improvements”.

This new show is set to start production on July 31st, there were rumours that a temporary replacement may have had to be brought in, but the latest news seems to be Mischa is set to take this role and start on the planned production start date.

Amy Winehouse who arrived back in the UK after her long stay  in  St Lucia last week is back in the headlines, and a court appearance at the City of Westminster Magistrates Court is the latest installment in the Amy Winehouse sagas.

This is a minor case and a bit of a hangover from last year where she attended a Charity Ball and one of the dancers by the name of Sherene Flash put her arm round Amy for a photo to be taken along with friend Kieran Connolly. Amy didn’t want to have the photo taken and tried to push her away but Sherene was having none of it and Amy had to force her off.  Result assault charges have been claimed by Sherene Flash including being punched by Amy Winehouse which Amy is strongly denying saying she just tried to move her away as she didn’t give consent to have the photo taken. 

Amy does have a pretty good right hook which has been used a number of times in the past, judges take these sort of things into account as in past track record and this does have a bearing on the final verdict.  Witnesses will need to be brought in to testify which will be probably be at another court hearing. The case continues!

On a more positive note her mother Janice has been quoted as saying Amy is pleased to be home and is eating well. One of the UK  gossip mags has stated that the recent Michael Jackson death has had a shock impact on Amy who according to the mag has  quoted her as saying “that could have been me”. 

From what we are seeing in the picture above, she does look different, she looks on the road to recovery, a removal of negative factors in her life seems to be underway and once these are all cleared up she can move forward and focus on what she really should be doing and thats her music career as there is a lot of talent that last year was simply wasted, we think she is slowly starting to realise that fact!

Cheryl Cole who is currently in LA working on her new solo album with Will.I.Am of Black Eyed Peas has according to The Daily Express been approached to replace Paula Abdul the American Idol judge, who as yet, has not been offered a renewed contract.

The offering for the position to be a judge on American Idol to Cheryl came with a very nice pay packet of $8M, but Cheryl declined as she didn’t want to be away from her husband for that long a period of time as his Chelsea FC work commitments keep him  firmly in the UK. She has also stated according to the Express that she  really is in LA just to get her solo career and album underway and nothing else!

You could say Cheryl has turned down $8M for love!

Katie Price who has recently been interviewed by Piers Morgan about her split with Peter Andre has been pretty much top billing in UK celebrity news circles and appeared today on GMTV for yet another interview but was a bit shy according to the paps but we have to say she was looking pretty good!

Katie aka Jordan looks set to hit the headlines with more positive news though according to Metro and that is she is set to appear in the sequel to the Sex and the City Movie and star alongside the likes of Carrie Bradshaw.

She has been in talks with the Hollywoods film producers and she is due for some auditions to what is billed as Sex and the City 2. This is all part of her aim to carve out a career in Hollywood!

Lily Allen was spotted a day or so ago wearing very Damien Hirst looking glasses without the blue lenses going maybe for the intellectual look, or possibly the nobody will recognise me with these on look. Not sure about either of those actually working, but she ended up spending time in the very swanky Scotts restaurant in Mayfair.

Nothing unusual in that, but she was there with non other than famous artist Damien Hirst, you could say nothing unusual in that either. There was a bit of forced hand holding going on as they exited the restaurant but the SP seems to be it was a bit of arty intellectual chat that Lily was craving for.

Days previously two European gigs that were suppposed to happen over the weekend got cancelled, The spanish one due to a tummy bug, The French one due to apparently “some sort of mix up”. Needless to say fans in Spain and France are none too chuffed. Seeing her out on the razzle boozing and chugging on fags a day or so later in the UK, probably didn’t help European relations either, especially if you were on deaths door a day or so earlier!

Also the same day the Mercury Music Awards Nominations came out and she was a bit miffed by her lack of any nomination for her latest album “It’s not Me…It’s You”. Lily Tweeted

“I’m like Gazza, the judges hate me, but the people, dem love me.. I hope La Roux wins.”

So there you go…….some things never change especially when it comes to Lily Allen!
