Rihanna is Female Celebrity of the Month for August 09. Female Celebrity of the Month is in effect “Queen Bee” for a month, they appear in a prominent No 1 spot on the main page of fjgirls.com, they will also have a higher than usual amount of headlines on this blog as they become prime news focus. An unusual month this month and August looks to be a relatively quiet month with the school holidays and media wise so we needed someone to party up the month a bit and who better than Rihanna!

Normally one female star stands out from the crowd without question news wise, and that happens every month, but this month things were a bit different, a good 20 or so stars all were viable options with not one in particular standing out, but in the end we picked Rihanna, just based on gut, she’s been through a lot recently more to do with her love life than anything, and we just feel good things are round the corner for her, whether it is in August remains to be seen but she’ll be in the news regardless in August she always is!.
Here’s some of the other female stars that were on our radar as possible “Queen Bee” candidates for August and who Rihanna beat off.
Amy Winehouse: We think is turning a corner, a recent court case assault charge against her she has recently won, divorced, new record label recently purchased by her, negative factors being cleared away, recently rehabbed on St Lucia and looking good, some credible backing in the wings, we think she’s on the turn, this is how comebacks start, we’ve seen it many times…but we think not yet. Possible female celebrity of the Month later this year and this will be a big one, mark our words!
Kim Kardashian. New fan site at FJ Girls literally a day away, and first to be part of the FJ Girls website on a sub domain, and could herald the arrival of more similar sites. 2 are definetly planned and dormant at present but they are there, and which we are keeping quiet. KK is in the headlines for her split with Reggie Bush, she’s always in the news, but we think August she will be even more so as a result of this headline. Fan Site and Female Celebrity of the month as well, the fan site will have a feed presence on the frontpage of fjgirls and with female celeb of the month as well, makes it two spotlights and Queen Bee twice? ………we think not………….and a pass for that reason, but KK was close!
Jennifer Aniston: Constantly in the headlines with her on set filming, last film being “The Baster” and more recently “the Bounty” Brad rumours surround her, as yet unfounded and co star as in Gerard Butler, rumours also. Newsworthy with a capital N but we passed on her, mainly as its all rumours, again one for the future.
Demi Lovato: Was hot favourite, the Disney girl turned musician, new album released just days ago, new single, rising star, prime candidate, all news is fact, but its all in the timing and not just yet we think.
Leighton Meester: Gossip Girl stunner, a webmaster favourite (amongst many) another fansite poss, in the news, new music career, new single and album, recently been filming with Minka Kelly in “the Roomate” so branching out into film as well, rising star to put it mildly and very hot news. We passed in favour of Rihanna, it was close, but she could be Queen Bee in the next month or so.
Cheryl Cole. Huge in the news, recent visit to LA to record and launch solo career and album, X Factor judge and very busy doing final stage filming for that, rumours of possible talent show host stateside as yet still unfounded, incredibly popular and recently voted FHM Worlds Sexiest Woman. We could go on…..we passed, but it was incredibly close, very strong candidate for September as X Factor will have been broadcasting for a couple of weeks and will be in full swing and it will definetly be Cheryl Cole fever that month and onwards. Strong candidate for a fan site as well, either way watch for further CC news!
Blake Lively. Put a Blake Lively post out, and it’s instantly popular, Gossip Girl supremo, recently making a lot of magazine covers, buzzing news wise, attractive and popular….we passed but she could be female celeb of the month soon but the competition is looking tough!
Jennifer Lopez: Recent comeback after having the twins, Queen Bee in every sense of the word, in the headlines massively recently for her filming of her new role in “The Backup Plan”, she is multi talented and is also famous for her music, could be murmurings there, we think one to watch in the future and a pass this month for that reason!.
