It’s been headline news for the last couple of weeks with strong confirmations from the lady herself the last few days that Lily Allen is to retire from the music business as she’s not making a whole lot of money for her efforts due to piracy and record companies taking a slice and other factors. The photo below was taken just before she made her quit announcement.

She’s decided to hang up her mic and tread the boards instead and become a thespian and appear in a West End Theatre Production to get the ball rolling.
This has all been shattered in style by The Sun today saying that she has announced a co headline tour with non other than Dizzee Rascal. The dates look set to be next year with just two gigs at present.
The pair will perform on Friday March 5th at Manchester MEN Arena and Sunday March 7th at London’s 02. Tickets go on sale on Friday 9 October at 9am.
Lily Allen stated she was quitting the music scene on her new blog aimed at raising awareness of music piracy called “It’s not alright” as she wanted to try something new.
If this tour turns out to be fact it looks like she’s NOT retiring from the music biz just yet and this should pay the gas bill for the next year or so at least, so no need for thermal underwear and woolly hats indoors just yet!
