Alexandra Burke, UK X Factor Winner, mentored by non other than Cheryl Cole has her new debut album still hot off the press and waiting in the wings. It’s called “Overcome” and it should be ready to hit the streets on October 19th which strangely enough is a similar release date to Cheryl Cole’s new single and album where she debuts her solo offering.

Alexandra has a new single coming of this album which will be out next Monday it is called “Bad Boy”. and has Flo Rida as Feat. The actual album material is a mixture of punchy R n B and dance style numbers with a smattering of more emotional slower ballad style tunes more in the Leona Lewis style although she does not like to be put in the same category as Leona. Getting reasonable reviews with some sources saying this album could spawn 4 or 5 high chart hitting singles.
On working with Flo Rida on her new single she said:
“I was scared to meet him because I thought he was going to be this big gangster, but he’s actually like this big teddy bear and I call him ‘my bad boy’ now because he’s really cute and really sweet, so it was very fun working with him and I just feel very honoured that he actually said yes.”
|Is Alexandra Burke the next Leona Lewis? Time will tell….but she’s definetly one to watch!
