It’s been pretty obvious Rihanna he mystery woman has been up to something, she’s been in and out of recording studios for a while now but it looks like the fruits of her labours are going to be seen soon and we have a sampler of her efforts below.

The new single taken from the yet to be known titled album is “Russian Roulette” and follow the link to the RihannaNow website to get the sampler audio only or grab below:
Her new album is to be released on 23 November and this first released single will be part of it. The new album is rumoured to be a double-album, with confirmed contributions from American singer-producers Kanye West, Justin Timberlake, Akon and others.
What do we think? This Russian Roulette doesn’t sound your normal Rihanna type material and is not doing much for us on a first listen the Wait is Ova intro sounds a bit more like the Rihanna style. This is probably due to the vast amount of input from other sources that may have diluted the Rihanna effect. Could be one of those songs that grabs you after a dozen listens instead of drilling into your head on the first then you get sick of it after 50 plays.
Rihanna has been in the music game a while now, maybe the album is yet another killer and she’s releasing this first single and saving the aces for later, something she can afford to do, as she is a big enough and a established enough name now to be able to do that. Maybe an Xmas No1 is planned…who knows. As always watch for further news!
