The first single of Lady GaGa’s reworked album called “The Fame Monster” which is billed as having an edgier sound than her previous material.  A bit more of a euro ring to this one, superb high art video, usual Lady GaGa on the edge fashion statements. Pretty good song. We Like and should do predictably well!

Agnes famous for her summer hit “Release Me” and a winner of the MTV Europe Awards “Best Swedish Act” has a new single out called “I Need You Now“.

She is the winner of the Swedish Pop Idol in 2005 and has been in the music game since 17 and is now 21.

Her influences include La Roux and Whitney Houston who she has often been compared with, and is being hailed as the new Robyn.

Her latest release is about her and her life. Getting decent reviews from the music critics!

Norah Jones "Chasing Pirates" Video

Norah Jones the 30 year old singer/songwriter has  been around a while with her first album released in 2002 called “Come Away With Me” written in collaboration with her boyfriend Lee Alexander which sold 20 million copies worldwide. “The Fall”  is her latest album and Chasing Pirates is the first track on this album and official video is above.

With her recent break up from Lee she has been forced to seek new inspiration for her material and “The Fall” is her fourth album where she is in effect writing alone and collaborated with Ryan Adams, Will Sheff of Okkervil River, the keyboardist James Poyser, and guitarists Marc Ribot and Smokey Hormel.

The album is described by her as “half true……half fantasy …..  but she won’t say which is which!

The album is pretty much revolving around lyrics of a personal nature featuring a lot focusing on her recent break up with from her boyfriend Lee.

She says of the album “I wanted a change in sound. I knew I wanted heavier drum grooves and a grittier sound” according to her recent interview with The Sun.

Carrie Underwood the American Idol Winner and Grammy Award Country Music star was being interviewed on the Jimmy Kimmel Live Show  in LA on 19 November and video is below where she also played a live set where she performed Undo It Live. A bit of a laugh is Carrie and her latest beau is Hockey Star Mike Fisher which is rumoured to possibly be getting serious with mention of a possible move in on the cards!

With the recent success of Cheryl Cole and the launch of her solo career with a joint UK No1 Single and also Debut Album that also hit the No1 Spot at the same time something only a dozen or so female artists have achieved since the UK charts were formed, the saying “it doesn’t get any better than this” really was very appropriate a couple of weeks or so ago.

And there lies the problem, Cheryl has been on a heady rise over the last year and all of this has been backed by the media big time, but eventually a strange thing happens with news it suddenly realises, things can’t get any better and they start looking for any bad news within the success story, and the media shockingly changes tack and starts looking for faults, scandal and cracks in the success story.

Recent developments have zoomed in on the fact that Cheryl has not been wearing her wedding ring for a couple of weeks some time back and the recent Children in Need Concert where Cheryl performed and Ashley attended, afterwards Cheryl wanted to party but Ashley was not up for it. This has started a Cheryl Cole, Marriage Problems and Media triangle with an increasingly large snowball of stories that the Glossy celeb mags and tabloids are getting into in a big way with headlines like “Cheryl Crisis” and “Cheryl marriage dramas return” and others of the more extreme variety.

This may or may not be true but a recent posting by her management company Supersonic PR on Twitter shows a picture of her holding up her hand with the £160,000 ring firmly on with the accompanying Tweet “3 Words. Diamonds are Forever”

Good move from Cheryl and her PR company as these sort of media rumours are very damaging indeed and there’s only one way to fight media rumours and thats fight back with your own media in this case Twitter!

With a 6pm billing for Thurdsay 19 November for the switch on of the Christmas lights at the massive Westfield Shopping Centre at Shepherds Bush, London qeues were forming fast around lunchtime as yours truly was there passing through at that time but had other things on so did not attend!

As everybody knows Mariah Carey is a diva amongst divas, and as everybody also knows what does a diva do when you’ve got thousands of fans waiting patiently for the 6pm Mariah Xmas light turn on …….. you turn up late. We are not talking 10 or 20 minutes here, it was a full hour before the Mariah entourage made its appearance at Westfield but she probably realises as do her fans that somethings are worth waiting for.

So why was she late apart from the diva reason? Apparently she was having a few glasses of champagne at The Dorchester just up the road and must have lost track of the time?

Grey/black were the colours of choice for her outfit and a silver wand was her tool to signal that she has given her diva permission to have the Westfield Christmas lights turned on and not a second earlier.

Afterwards Mariah attended a £200,000 party held at the Jalouse Nightclub in Mayfair where she turned up in a £300,000 ice white customised Rolls Royce phantom. Of course this event did not go without the diva demands where she asked for club decorations to include white roses, white drapes and vanilla and strawberry scented candles. Doesn’t get any more specific than that!

So what do we think about all this diva carry on? When you are this talented and have been around as long as she has we can safely say she has earned her diva demand status and then some!
