Metro did a 60 second interview with Pixie and here’s a few sample question and answers….it’s a scream!
What was the first record you bought?Probably a Spice Girls single. When I was little I listened to my mum’s music. I sang all the big ballads by Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston. My speciality was My Heart Will Go On by Celine Dion. All the divas inspired me.
Have you met any of them?I met Mariah. She had a party in London and I got to meet her. I thought I’d be fine as I’ve met so many people but I shook her hand and started welling up. I had to put my head down. It was so embarrassing but I was overwhelmed, she’d been my idol since I was so young. Then she went to the toilet. She didn’t give me any advice on how to be a pop star.
Do you read gossip websites? I try not to because people make up rubbish about me. Sometimes it’s there and I can’t help but read it. There was a story I was dating Russell Brand, which wasn’t true, and a story saying I was doing tequila shots with Mickey Rourke at his hotel, which wasn’t true either.
Have you had any weird dreams lately? I had a weird one last night. I was robbed at gunpoint. They ran off with my bag, which had all my stuff in it, and I was thinking: ‘Oh no, my mum’s going to kill me.’ Then we got in the car and Alexandra Burke was in there. I was quite disturbed I dreamt about Alexandra Burke, I don’t know where that came from.
If you were a kangaroo what would you keep in your pouch? My best friend, my lipstick and my iPod. I’ve got Bat For Lashes, Jason Mraz, Kings Of Leon, MGMT, Noah And The Whale, John Legend, Air Traffic, Adele and the Goo Goo Dolls on there now. I love that guitary stuff.
So there you go!
