The history of the making of this film was a checkered one with names coming and going and locations suffering the same fate.
Originally the film was to be shot in Sherwood Forest where the actual events take place, but in the end the film was delayed, the script had to be rewritten and they ended up shooting the film in a forest on the edge of London which sounds very much like Epping Forest.
