Major headline news this, ParisHilton-Club.com our planned fan site for the top socialite Paris Hilton we have decided to close down before it was even properly launched for the following reasons below.

1. The sheer volume of news surrounding this lady is staggering enought to rival this site here and as we have our work cut out with FJ Girls and other fan sites already we’ve decided to axe the site just due to sheer workload.

2. We have had a lot of interest in our semi live fan site for Kim Kardashian called Kim Kardashian World, so much so we have had to move forward the launch and stop posts until further notice. This may need to go on a separate server and we haven’t even launched it officially yet.

3. In all honesty there wasn’t a massive amount of interest in the site, we feel because there are probably too many Paris fan sites out there already.

As a result.

1. Paris Hilton whether visitors like it or not, will be back on this blog.
2. The domain ParisHilton-Club.com is up for grabs, it’s pretty worthless but is definitely a prime candidate for somebody looking to run a Paris Hilton fan site.

If the truth be known, we thought the whole Cannes Film Festival Event this year wasn’t a patch on last year which had Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt in attendance and we think they made a few cutbacks and the film line up was a bit “Yawn City” as a You Tuber so aptly called it.

The final climax to the event The Palme D’Or Award went to a film with the name that nobody will ever remember called “Uncle Boonmee Who Can Recall His Past Lives” which is a Thai offering by director Apichatpong Weerasethakul a name that is also difficult to remember let alone spell. It’s all about love and loss and as Tim Burton who was on the judging panel put it, it’s not Hollywood and that’s it’s appeal.

But as with all these subtitled offerings whether it will crack it at the box office remains to be seen. The Best actress award went to Juliette Binoche (photo above). Marina and the Diamonds is coming up as pretty popular on this site and she is getting an increasing following, we think it’s her voice but more to the point she is a bit of a looker as well. Dean Piper of the Daily Mirror was in the privileged position to get the low down on Janet Jackson and the obvious question that crops up “How are you coping after your brothers death?” springs to mind. Her answer was “”It has been the hardest few months of my life. I’m still struggling with losing Michael all the time but it gets easier I guess. Time is a healer.”
