Fergie is entering the June diva party on the back of a David Guetta and Chris Willis number that also feats LMFAO called “Getting Over You” Official video below and this song is due out in the UK on Monday to add some more Divadom to the raging Diva extravaganza taking place this month.
The Verdict: Good vid with the studio touch and a completely different looking Fergie lends her hand to give her usual earth shattering vocals that have become her trademark whilst on her solo stint and also with The Black Eyed Peas. If you’ve seen her live she sounds as good as she does in the studio. This is a purely pop, rave dance sort of number, it’s not bad, but the Guetta midas touch seems to be a tad diluted on this number, maybe to accentuate the vocals, we don’t know. The vocals on this are it’s strong point without a doubt. We think on repeated play this could start to wear a bit thin but looks to be a hit in the clubs for sure. Longevity is an important factor in our final rating, club number or otherwise, and this song doesn’t have it. Rating 3 stars++++++++.
Chart wise, we appear to have a bit of a Diva traffic jam building up in June with a rumoured Britney new album on the horizon, so this will have to fight hard for the top 10 as this looks to be a bloodbath of a month for music releases. No1 can’t be ruled out, but our money, based on the latest tidal wave of diva releases, would be elsewhere, but it’s an OK number none the less, hence the slightly above neutral rating!
