Miley Cyrus “Can’t Be Tamed” Official Video and Review!

Miley Cyrus! She “Can’t be Tamed” and she has a new number that is going by the same title which is straight off her new album of the same name, her last one for a while by all accounts as she is heading off to focus on her acting career. We’ve had the pole dancing outrage, lately we’ve had the “girl kissing” uproar…….whats next. She is trying to shake that Hannah Montana image off in a rapid manner that’s for sure. FJ Girls is probably the last celebrity website to feature this video as it has been around about 4 weeks now………better late than never!. Video below of her latest offering.

“When I Look at You” which was the song associated with the film she starred in called “The Last Song” and this latest offering are two very different animals indeed. We liked her last number, a bit downbeat sounding but it ticked all the right boxes, lets put this latest offering through the griller and see how it does!

The Verdict:Lets start with the video, superb and nothing less with Miley demonstrating her acting credentials that made her who she is today. Onto the song, its got bite, energy, it’s coming at you in a big way and the song has a strong message which you can’t mistake that it’s about her and where she is at in her life right now. But beyond that it just seems to lack something somewhere, vocally Miley is OK, the lyrics again are OK and the song in general is a very poppy OK number but there is nothing exceptional here beyond the surface of this song. With three OK’s it’s looking very much like a three star song. It’s what we call a “froth and foam” song, like getting served a pint of froth at a bar with just a couple of drops of beer at the bottom, it all looks exciting but on closer inspection there is not a whole lot there and you want to take it back for the real deal. Rating 3 stars +++++++++++++++ with the plus signs for the vid and Miley’s performance in acting terms on it.

Chart prediction. This could go all the way to No1, it’s got that catchy drill in your brain quality regardless of our rating, and Miley has a huge following. She’s at that stage in her career now where she can pretty much release anything and it will fly off the shelves regardless. Only thing that is stopping this 17 year old achieving that No1 is the million other divas that for same strange reason seem to be releasing some pretty good numbers at the same time in June! There’s a lot of big names converging on this month. Just don’t mention the word Britney!
