After her whirlwind Russian Premiere of “Salt” in Moscow billed as her first Russian Premiere, Angelina Jolie has now headed onto Japan and Tokyo was the venue for a press conference for the film and Japanese actress Meisa Kuroki was also at the event. Photos of the event below:

Angelia Jolie continues her promo duties for her new film “Salt” and her latest stop was Moscow in Russia. According to the New York Daily News the crowd went berserk chanting her name whilst she signed autographs, walked the red carpet dressed also in red and did the usual red carpet poses for the photographers. She also had some shots taken of her on a hotel roof with the Kremlin in the background.

This is reportedly Angelina’s first film premiere in Russia hence the crowds excitement. Angie had this to say: “This is my first premier in Moscow and I’m so excited to be here,” she said switching into English. “I hope you enjoy the film. I tried to speak a bit of Russian. Cheryl Cole is not one for staying down too long and the recent Malaria she has suffered has knocked her down big time but the latest news out is that she COULD be back at X Factor on Friday to continue with her auditions for the show. She is currently recovering at her home.

She is reported to have a private nurse on call which is a wise move. Repeat malaria attacks even after treatment are not uncommon as none of the current treatments are 100% effective and attacks can happen anything from a few weeks to six months or longer in the future but are not as bad as the first attack! That’s coming from somebody who has had it!

In the meantime Nicole Scherzinger (pictured below) the ex lead Doll of Pussy Cat Dolls has been doing Cheryl’s job and keeping the seat warm whilst she has been off sick and by all accounts has been doing a good job which we don’t doubt for a minute…………..you couldn’t have a better person for the job.  If Cheryl returns to The X Factor on Friday she is rumoured to be interviewed in her home by Xtra Factor’s Konnie Huq. The latest Kate Beckinsale headlines are that she “may” be appearing in Underworld 4. The director of the film just happens to be her husband Len Wiseman who had this to say according to mania.com

“…being written and talked about and hopefully all comes together. So we’re seeing how things happen. But we’re all keeping our fingers crossed. We’re both waiting to see what kind of story comes together. It’s just getting the script to a certain place where we’re both happy with it.”

It’s not definite but it’s a possibility. This Underworld 4 looks planned to go 3D and if it goes ahead will be released in 2011.

Katie Price now world famous for her new single called “Free To Love Again” which has entered the UK charts with a whimper at No60, basically a flop of the first order, has decided to quit singing and focus on her other activities according to The Sun. She was supposed to perform this song live in a London club but opted out due to the disastrous performance of her latest offering in the charts and also on GMTV some days previously. We’ve often wondered what it takes to reach say No60 in the UK Charts and apparently according to The Sun it takes a massive 3,000 copies to reach these dizzy heights. With a UK population of over 60 Million and an estimated 8 Million of those in London, only 3,000 people could be bothered to buy a piece of Katie Price musical history. That’s grim, very grim indeed!

We think she’s doing the right thing here and hats off to her for realising at a very early stage otherwise if she had continued with say a second song and album, live tour and more it would have ended in tears and more misery on the airwaves for UK people in general.

She’s got talents and things like her books which seem to do well, promotional work, reality TV and maybe some short scene acting in films with her prominent London twang could also be her thing and of course modelling and she does charity work as well………but the music business……..errr NO and that definitely includes judging on X Factor, Nicole Scherzinger is light years ahead in her current Cheryl replacement role and should remain until the original experts return.

At least she tried!
