With the 2010 US Open Grand slam just around the corner we were wondering how Serena Williams and her foot injury are getting on? The answer to that is below although this shot was taken over a week ago but either way it’s not looking too promising is it!

The 2010 US Open event starts on 24th August and is the fourth grand slam of the tennis season. For the schedule grab the link at US Open.org. Serena Williams who has been suffering with a serious foot injury was hoping for a miracle rapid heal so she could enter the 2010 US open too at least try and do the best she can, but judging by this recent photo below it’s looking unlikely that she will be making an appearance. Bad news for Serena but good news for the other players as this now throws this event wide open.

Sharapova has been showing some blistering form in some of the other tournaments that lead up to this event along with Kim Clijsters (see photo above) and some of the new blood names that managed to cause some serious problems at Wimbledon could do a repeat performance at the US Open. We think this could be the case but the US Open is a totally different surface and the ball behaves differently.
More news on women odds on winning the event as we get nearer to the event start……………..this could be an interesting one.
