Jessica Alba along with a host of female stars were at the “Machete” Film Premiere which was held at The Orpheum Theater in LA last night and this was a female celeb fest. This film also stars Michelle Rodriguez (who attended) and Lindsay Lohan (as far as we can gather wasn’t there). The film is billed as a action-exploitation film co-written, produced, and directed by Robert Rodriguez and Ethan Maniquis. This film is probably one for the lads but there’s enough female presence here to ensure there’s some sort of interest for the girls as well!

Yes we do know that Jessica Alba is sporting some very strange looking shoulder pads here, and we are biting our lip here and holding back on the sarcastic comments…………..we will not go there……….we wont………….promise! Let’s face it though, this actress could turn up in a shredded lime green pre used and crusty bin bag and she would still be a showstopper. You’ve either got it or you haven’t and boy has she got IT!

The Plot:

Not the sort of plot to be condensed down to one sentence, we’ve extracted the first paragraph from Wikipedia, head there for the rest and you’ll see what we mean, it’s a bit complicated.

The film focuses on Machete (Danny Trejo), a renegade former “Mexican Federale”. After a shakedown with a druglord (Steven Seagal), Machete roams the towns and streets of Texas looking to do yard work in exchange for money. Michael Benz (Jeff Fahey), a local businessman and spin doctor, explains to Machete that the corrupt Senator McLaughlin (Robert De Niro) is sending more at hundreds of illegal immigrants out of the country much more at Wikipedia Machete Film Trailer

The film will first be screened on September 1, 2010, out of competition at the 67th Venice International Film Festival. The film will be out stateside September 3, 2010. If you are an Alba and Rodriguez and Lohan fan then this film is a no brainer as you get to see all 3 at once………..3 for the price of 1……..beats any supermarket offer and better looking as well!
