Marina and The Diamonds has a new number out by the very cleverly named “Shampain”. She’s feeling celestial is her last line on the song. Is she firing on all cylinders with this tune or has she lost the car keys and not even got the engine started …………better take a closer look!

The Verdict:

The Video! Marina as fans will know is not short in the looks department, you could say she is up there with the Fox’s and Brook’s and Cole’s that alone will pull the punters in, she’s been very popular on this site and considering she’s pretty new that’s something. Video is quirky, high on originality and it’s pretty good and considering the budget involved here which we think is probably at the lower end of the spectrum they have done very well indeed.

The Song: Marina Vocals. Spot On. You can’t fault her vocally. Backing. Spot On if slightly retro. Lyrics Reasonable. Repetition: below average. Originality. High. Technically this is coming out as a good song. Not 100% our scene here but will push all the right buttons for Marina fans. Rating a scraper 3 and half stars.
