Lady GaGa was nominated for a record breaking 13 awards at this years VMA’s and came away with a whopping 8. she basically cleaned up!.. Noted for her constant changes to her outrageous outfits at events with 15 changes not being uncommon, she managed to change just a modest three times at the 2010 VMA’s but true to form she stood out from the crowd, the meaty dress is hitting the headlines, the follow up to her controversial meaty bikini, you do wonder what this event would be like if she wasn’t there? Congratulaions to Lady Gaga on her massive haul!

Three of those 8 awards in the Lady Gaga haul included the coveted video of the year award for Bad Romance and also she won best female video and best pop video.she looked quite emotional during some of her acceptance speeches and she also unveiled the name of her new third album during one of her acceptance speeches to her little monsters which is called “born this way”. We knew and probably she knew she wouldn’t win all 13, but 8 out of 13 is impressive indeed and considering how long she has been around which in musical terms is very short indeed we could be seeing just the tip of the iceberg here in career terms.

Other VMA winners included Justin Bieber, who took home best new artist; 30 Seconds To Mars, who won best rock video for “Kings and Queens”; Florence and the Machine, whose “Dog Days Are Over” won best art direction; Jay-Z and Alicia Keys, who earned the best cinematography moonman for “Empire State of Mind”; Muse, with best special effects for “Uprising”; and the Black Keys, who won breakthrough for “Tighten Up.” Beyoncé also shared best collaboration with Gaga for “Telephone.” Last but not least Eminem came away with a deserved two gongs for “Not Arfaid” a winning song and vid if ever there was!
