The major fashion icon and legend Alexander McQueen who died last year was remembered at a memorial service held at St Paul’s cathedral today and this was attended by major names in fashion and celebrities alike. Names included Kate Moss, Anna Wintour, Sarah Jessica Parker, Naomi Campbell and more. Kate Moss with very much the sans make up look in keeping with the tone of the event!

Alexander McQueen committed suicide and was found hanged dead in the wardrobe of his flat in London’s posher than posh Mayfair district after taking a cocktail of cocaine, sleeping pills and tranquilisers.  At the event Reverend Canon Giles Fraser started the memorial service by saying: “It was a life lived in the public gaze, but it was as vulnerable and retiring as it was glamorous. Despite the dazzle of his world, he never forgot his East End roots and how much he owed to his loved ones.” Bjork performed live at the event. Celebrity photos at the event below.
