Selena Gomez of ‘Wizards of Waverley Place’ fame is over in London as we speak and has been in Europe promoting her new album ‘A year without rain’ the most recent stop being a photo call in Madrid on 18th October. Our verdict on Selena’s foray into the music is a two thumbs down on the first song ‘Naturally’ and an improvement on the second offering so basically mixed. Sharon Stone the actress was spotted out and about in LA with that ‘life is good’ look on her face. She’s starred in many films including her most famous sizzling role 9 1/2 weeks and one of my personal favourites ‘Casino’ where she does an absolutely blinding edge of the seat performance. Diana Vickers has been busy promoting her new single ”My Wicked Heart” and turned on the glam to do some TV promo stuff to get the message out to the world or at least the UK. Red had it’s European premiere as part of the BFI London Film Festival last night and this event was held at the Royal Festival Hall on the South Bank in London, a change from the normal Leicester Square.

Megan Fox was recently all Jennifer’s Body and Jonah Hex one minute and then no longer on the planet the next so what’s she up too and has she managed to get some new film roles?  Strangely enough news has just materialised over the last day that she has landed an interesting new film role in a comedy that may just stretch her a bit according to The Hollywood Reporter.

She’s set to star in a new film called ‘Friends with Kids’ and this film studies the effect having children has on your friends. The story, which also stars Kristen Wiig and Adam Scott, revolves around a pair of “thirtysomething best friends”, who decide to date other people in an attempt to skip the usual problems that having children does to a relationship. Sounds like she may have more than a few lines in this one and could be a departure from her normal looking pretty roles. She can act well when pushed as the recent Eminem and Rihanna “Love the Way you lie” music video proved, her performance in that impressed us greatly here.

Megan Fox is  also starring in another film called  Passion Play which stars Mickey Rourke and Bill Murray. The film  is about a woman born with wings who has ended up as a carnival attraction. You’ve got to hand it to Megan she gets roles in any genre going, horror, comedy, westerns, action and rom coms, you name it she does it!  Jonah Hex and Jennifer’s Body got a lot of media attention but the box office numbers were hardly earth shattering, hopefully one of these two new films will deliver the goods for Fox,

So Megan is still very much around, on set photos, if available, will be here when production starts. Could be interesting!
