Taylor Momsen on set of Gossip Girl. New York!

Taylor Momsen was spotted on set of Gossip Girl along with Ed Westwick doing the regular shoot for the TV series sporting some stonking knee length boots pretty much in a rush to get somewhere, caught also lighting up on set, where she was going is not clear. All the usual Taylor Momsen stuff! All filmed in midtown Manhattan, New York. Taylor Momsen is in the thick of the same row as Miley Cyrus (same age, same dress sense) with the way she dresses way way ahead of her years.

Kelly Rutherford, Jessica Szohr and Leighton Meester were also spotted being escorted to the set by security with varying facial expressions! Pics below:

Freida Pinto and the “Miral” Premiere at the BFI London Film Festival!

Freida Pinto the Slumdog Millionaire star was in London promoting her new film called simply Miral at the London Film Festival which is currently in full swing and she was at the photocall for the event earlier photos for that also below. She’s looking as hot as ever!

Some details of the film below:

Miral is a 2010 film directed by Julian Schnabel. The screenplay was written by Rula Jebreal, based on her novel. The film was released on 3rd September at the 2010 Venice Film Festival. and in France on 15 September, The film will be released in the US sometime in March 2011.

Plot

A chronicle of Hind Husseini’s effort to establish an orphanage in Jerusalem after the 1948 partition of Palestine and the creation of the state of Israel. Jerusalem, 1948. On her way to work, Hind Husseini (Hiam Abbass) comes across 55 orphaned children in the street. She takes them home to give them food and shelter. Within six months, 55 had grown to almost 2,000, and the Dar Al-Tifel Institute was born. In 1978, at the age of 7, Miral (Freida Pinto) was sent to the Institute by her father following her mother’s death. Brought up safely inside the Institute’s walls, she is naïve to the troubles that surround her. Then, at the age of 17, she is assigned to teach at a refugee camp where she is awakened to the reality of her people’s struggle. When she falls for political activist, Hani, she finds herself torn between the fight for the future of her people and Mama Hind’s belief that education is the road to peace.

Kristen Stewart was at the Scream Awards and managed to pick up an award for her role in Twilight, no photos available but we do have the photo below of her turning up just before the event inside a car with her normal serious face on. The real headline though is another shot taken earlier, a rare gem, shows the normally very serious Kristen Stewart laughing her head off, we have to say a very rare shot indeed. Kristen Stewart is very quiet on our photo feeds at the moment, the photos before this were taken in August. She’s back on this site after being moved from the fan site Kristen Media which is still there but no further updates will be happening on this site as FJ is not a Twihard BUT we may be adding a forum to this site as it’s still getting a hell of a lot of consistent interest even with no updates for a couple of months. Cheryl Cole was spotted over the weekend at the X Factor studios in London looking a lot happier than the previous weekend where she was all low profile hiding under hats and dark sunglasses, sans make up all very much the CIA agent carry on. This week the slap is back on ,she’s smiling, waving, still got that enormous lush red Prada bag and things seem to be all systems go and she’s got that bring on the world look about her!

This brings us very nicely onto our new FJ Girls Store called FJ Shop was launched over the weekend is getting some serious interest, which was a BETA test thing, it wasn’t great BUT we now are onto a Version 2. This has hand picked stuff by FJ which he thinks will appeal to visitors of this site as opposed to what Amazon had automatically put in their which wouldn’t even appeal to a 65 year old. It’s got a new set of categories basically focused on Female Stars. 10 at present that are popular on this site, click on their link and books, dvd, blu ray, mp3, t shirts, signed photos, posters you name it comes up just related to that star all hand picked by FJ. all at the FJ Shop Version 2

The new FJ Shop at FJ Girls!

Another new development at FJ Girls is the FJ Shop. Initially purely Amazon based but if popular this could change with other cool products making an appearance from top brands but direct.

Amazon was on this site before in live ad form but we got rid of it because it was affecting site load times. A shop on a totally seperate page overcomes that problem. Purely experimental and Beta at the moment, and in reality it doesn’t look all that, the design could change radically as we have seen some decent store/shop software that would work with our current server software, we may even produce our own design..

Amazon are everywhere we know but they are trusted, have everything, are reliable and can be cheap. Starting with the more predictable music, film and books such as biographies the obvious progression is fashion as a lot of women are onto this site, we can hear them. A Louboutins zone (the real deal no fakes here) is the first thing that springs to mind, maybe even our own shoe galleries like the recently launched one at Selfridges. Just ideas, there will be others, we can hear that plastic coming out as we speak.

This shop at present is just a basic install that features pretty much everything and is not that female star focused, this may change in the coming months. All down to whether there is interest or not.

We think a shop is the way to go instead of cramming even more ads in your face and getting in the way of the latest news and slowing the site down as it’s getting busy and will be getting busier. This way, if you fancy a browse, head over to the shop, if not…………… then don’t. You’re in control!

No pressure to buy but if you do the money all goes to paying for the new expensive server bill just around the corner as the bargain basement hosting days will soon be coming to a close. We’ve got away with it for 2 years or so, those days will soon be history, the red flag from the hosting company is looming as it was in May earlier year, and it’s now sooner rather than later!

This site was literally “crucified” by yours truly in May this year and parked for two weeks to destroy links and drive visitors away as we just didn’t have the money for a decent server. It worked and the site suffered badly but times have changed, and 5 months on we now have the dosh and the technology and she is back on the rise and quite rapidly!

The current hosting platform we are on can probably cope with a dozen posts a day max at current levels. We are looking at moving up to a dozen minimum in the future probably beginning of 2011 maybe earlier, that’s heading into power blogging territory which is what the big names play at, for that you need an industrial server otherwise you crash. The shop and other ads will pay a good chunk if not all of that bill, hence the idea.

More developments are on the horizon! The link for the beta shop is on the main menu of this blog and will be all over the site in the future.
