FJ is on Twitter and My Space (sort of not much there at present) and You Tube but has never got round to joining Facebook, probably because of all the hoops you have to junp through to join and the much publicised privacy issues.
That has changed this weekend, FJ has bitten the bullet and thought “What the hell”, has gone all social and joined Facebook Sunday pm(what a pallava that is) . It’s more of a personal page (even got my name on it LOL), still being set up and will integrate with the FJ Girls Community in the future and also probably the forum at Kim Kardashian World which looks to be going live this week and which we were working on this weekend.
We did think about doing one of those business style wall page things but they are a bit cold and impersonal, you know what FJ girls is all about, no point saying it all over again on Facebook. A twitter feed is currently on “The Wall” on this new Facebook page which we have yet to figure out.
This Facebook page we think is not 100% live yet as it comes up with security codes when you type in the url (probably being checked out), when the page works we’ll have the link here on this site and over on the community page as a lot of visitors to this site we reckon have Facebook pages in preference to Twitter. It’s probably easier to make friends and get a following on Facebook than it is on Twitter, seems to be the more prominent you are and the more prominent your website is, that gets you the followers in the Twitter game plan. Facebook works a bit different
Don’t expect family photos, pictures of me clubbing and pulling strange faces in a bar in Covent Garden or surrounded by gorgeous scantily clad women giving the old thumbs up whilst grinning like a lunatic, or doing a moon on the stage of a live gig, but there should be some interesting stuff on here none the less as FJ does like a laugh!
Facebook will be the Twitter alternative for people that have had enough of people basically talking like retards in a 140 characters or less. If you’re in that category which we are here at FJ Girls then Facebook will be more for you! We still use Twitter and it will still be important, but lets just say we are not exactly fans of it here! We have unfollowed and dumped a lot of people as they were tweeting like 200 times a day and blocking our channel with those annoying “sayings”, there’s a lot spam on Twitter as well so be careful, it’s all cleverly done but it’s still spam none the less. Needles to say our following list is going into free fall as we speak as a result! Adios Amigo is what we say! Have now got a following list that is small with real people and celebs that have something interesting to say once or four times a day tops!
There is a personal contact email on this page, if you’ve got something to say it will get looked at here as the main FJ Girls mail box gets bombarded every day and is starting to reach industrial levels (that’s with no spam) so would probably just get buried! Drop us a line and say “your website sucks!” OR “why don’t you just shut FJ Girls down and put us out of our misery” OR “why are your headlines always 1 week out of date?” OR “Why is this community still not working after 1 year” OR maybe even something errrrr “positive”?? It will get looked at, we may not reply but it will get looked at!
