Kristen Stewart V Selena Gomez and the new Snow White film role question?

Kristen Stewart as Bella in Twilight

Kristen Stewart as Bella in Twilight

Its currently just a rumour and all a bit of fluffy goss going around in film circles at the moment and the idea for this article came from a celeb goss site called Daily Fill which is strong on young Hollywood. It’s a half decent site  and gets the thumbs up from us here.

So there is no smoke without fire as they say, but if this rumour has a shred of truth to it then who really should play the role of the new production of  Snow White is it Selena Gomez or Kristen Stewart? This sort of thing tends to start fan wars with “murder” and “kill” being the threats if “the other one” gets the role. Things can get very heated indeed.

Whats our views on this? It’s the classic squeaky clean happy Disney type as in Selena Gomez V the moody deep and goth grunge rocker type with attitude that is Kristen Stewart.

Jessie J the Essex warbler has a new single out called “Price Tag” and the official video has just been released via JessieJVEVO which is her offiical You Tube channel. The video feats B.o.B and is the follow up to her “Do It Like A Dude” which did well in the charts late last year.

It’s a video  about consumerism and basically saying sod the money why not just love one another instead. A poppy catchy number coming out as 3 stars out of a possible 5 as in average..but that’s just our opinion..

Novak Djokovic beats Andy Murray and claims the mens 2011 Australian Open Title!

It was an Andy Murray v Novak Djokovic showdown today and Andy Murray was in blistering form on the lead up to this 2011 Australian Open final event but it wasn’t to be. You see it time and time again, brilliant play up to the semi’s or finals then things for some reason just go pear shaped when you don’t want them too. This doesn’t just apply to Andy Murray you see it with other players and in the women’s tennis as well. The final score was 6-4, 6-2, 6-3. the score really sums up the match with it being decidedly in Djokovics favour and he was seeded No3 for the event so the numbers ring true with Andy Murray ranked No5 in the world.

Djokovic had this to say about the match and his opponent: according to Bettor.com

“Of course it’s not easy. You could see his [Murray's] struggle and frustrations tonight because he had chances to win a first grand slam trophy. Every time you get there you want to win it badly but some things go wrong. You’re thinking too much. You’re worrying too much in your head. It’s a mental battle, definitely. Bottom line is that this is a very mental sport in the end. Everybody is very fit. But it’s a learning process, I guess. It wasn’t easy for me either. I know how he feels … he’s still young. I’m sure he’s gonna have more chances to win it,”

Kim Clijsters beats Li Na to claim the 2011 Australian Open womens Tennis crown!

An interesting match on Saturday in Melbourne between one of the best players to come out of China and that is Li Na pitted against the world no2 who is no stranger to Grand slam finals and that is Kim Clijsters of Belgium. It’s good to see some new names in the women’s tennis finals!

A bit of a shaky start for Kim on the opening stretch and first game but in true World No2 style she managed to turn the game around much to the annoyance of her opponent who started shouting in chinese at nearly every line call at the closing stages of the game and was not a happy duck. Final score was we would say a predictable 3-6, 6-3, 6-3 although it did drag on a bit in time terms which is the norm for finals.

A good and well deserved victory for Kim clijsters who we feel just like Nadal and Federer is pacing herself to ensure she peaks on form for Wimbledon and the US Open later in the season, so a win this early on for her is a bonus and confidence booster not that she is short in that department..

Even after this victory, Clijsters is still only ranked second in the world behind Caroline Wozniacki who has a massive lead. But there is no doubt that Clijsters is the woman to beat at major tournaments. She has won three of the five grand slam titles she has contested since her comeback and it’s still very early in the season so a World No1  ranking is a distinct possibility with Serena Williams currently down again with yet another injury.
