Cher Lloyd in glam mode!

Cher Lloyd of X Factor fame who is still coming up as a hot  searches on this site even after the show finished many weeks ago.

So after reaching the final stages of X Factor is there life after this show or is that it for Cher Lloyd and the other contestants?

It looks like the answer to that is a resounding NO. We would say Cher Lloyd is one of those Dianna Vickers types, if X Factor and Simon Cowell don’t come up with the goods (which they have) then she will go somewhere else that can, or just do her own thing and achieve stardom that way outside of the Syco Empire. Vickers has proven it can be done.

Recent events in the Cher Lloyd camp have her over in LA as we speak as she was signed up in December to the Syco label and she has been there the last couple of weeks trying her luck in the notoriously tricky music market stateside doing some work on a maiden album. She’s rumoured to be working with Will.i.am and Red One on this album with some sources quoting 22 August this year as the release date which is to be taken with a pinch of salt. Boy band One Direction from X Factor have recently joined Cher Lloyd over in LA as well as a result of another 2 Mil investment?

The terms being on this investment are  that it is probably repayable via future record sales and things predictably have to be done the Syco way.

According to the Daily Mail today Cher Lloyd has thrown a few of her trademark tantrums recently that she also did during the X Factor Show itself and is proving troublesome to mould into an X Factor Syco shape which would suggest that maybe she is better going her own way to keep her “own style” intact which seems to be an important factor for her in her possible future career. Either that or she may need to put a lid on the tantrums and go with the flow and be grateful that this break has come her way and maybe think about injecting some of her “own stuff” later on in her career when she is established. It’s a decision that may need to be made early on before the small print in the unavoidable syco contract kicks in?

If she does decide to go her own way via alternative musical empires who are very much aware of her, she still has some X Factor commitments to fulfil which is part of the small print buried in her X Factor contract for appearing on the 2010 show. Both Cher and One Direction have commitments with the X Factor tour which starts on February 19th. Other names on the tour with similar commitments include Katie Waissel, Paije Richardson, Mary Byrne, Wagner, Rebecca Ferguson, Matt Cardle and Aiden Grimshaw will also feature in the tour.

Cher Lloyd is on the move and it’s something we said would happen all along whether she did win X Factor or not. It’s whether her personality can handle the highly regulated pop star manufacturing process that is Syco and Simon Cowell and the resulting stifling controls over her career that’s what will decide her future or not as this Cher Lloyd as young as she is is pretty strong minded and has a tendency to bite the hand that is feeding her. Interesting times ahead for Cher Lloyd, we are sure the headlines will not be as simple as single and album released and everything is luvvy duvvy and that’s it, there will be more drama to come……………and we are watching!
