Sandra Bullock finished up  a brief stay on the west coast and was spotted at LAX making the trek through LAX Airport to catch an outbound flight on Monday January 17 heading off somewhere dressed pretty casual. The previous night she was presenting at the Golden Globes sporting her new “bangs” look and a pink Jenny Packham gown which is all gripping stuff. What’s more interesting though is the  local paparazzi were of course on her like a pack of blood hounds the following day at LAX which immediately begs the question where was she going and brings us nicely onto a bit of a story and the latest headlines.!

Ricky Gervais is our first male star to appear at Fame Fad with his own post. Trust me there will be others! Personally a bit of a fan of Gervais and those in the UK will know him from the TV series called The Office a classic that spawned a US version with a different cast that in our opinion didn’t even come close.  Check out a favourite clip where he makes a fork lift driver redundant called “Redundacies” we’ve nicknamed it “Midgets and Dwarves”

If you’ve seen Gervais do a stand up live gig it’s more of the same and really is rolling around on the floor in uncontrollable fits of laughter territory thats if you love his cutting sarcastic very clever brit style wit.

Cue the 2011 Golden Globe Awards which it has to be said is quite a serious event with a lot of huge but fragile egos and throw Gervais into the mix and things become interesting.

The Golden Globe Awards is a TV amd movie based awards event so you would expect stars from those particular areas to attend but there were a smattering of other stars such as 50 cent and Kelly Brook at the event more famous for what they do outside of TV and Film. Kelly Brook managed to get her head in the door as a result of her recent role in the film Pirinha 3D and probably as a result of oher other attributes!

The 2011 Golden Globe Awards took place last night in Beverly Hills in LA and you could say just a few stars turned up for this one. Just a few.To give you some idea of the scale of this thing we went through the guest list for this and  just The Letter A there are over 17 stars . The Golden Globe Awards is arguably a good indicator of what could be happening at the Oscars later this year but this is not always the case.The  Critics Choice Awards held on Friday highlighted the fact that film wise The social Network is dominating the proceedings and it was more of the same at the Golden Globe Awards on Sunday. Brit comedian Ricky Gervais hosted the event!

Natalie Portman and Colin Firth also came up trumps at this event repeating what they achieved at the Critics Choice awards on Friday. Natalie Portman grabs the headline for this article yet again, we have no favourites here at Fame Fad but I do personally really  rate this actress and hope she wins that Oscar this year, she  deserves it big time! The Kings Speech and  Black Swan and The Social Network seemed to dominate the proceedings at the Critics Choice Awards held at the Hollywood Palladium in LA. Natalie Portman was named Best Actress for her role in “Black Swan” and Colin Firth won Best Actor (“The King’s Speech“) both of these films are coming up as strong in critical circles and look to be in with a strong chance at the Oscars. The 2011 Golden Globes are just around the corner. Watch for further news!

Fame Fad is now Live and has taken over FJ Girls. Same people just a different name and a total redesign and bigger and better! Who better to get things in motion than a very pouty Kim Kardashian in a bikini Twitter pic taken a day or so ago from what looks like the inside of her pad, which is hitting all the celebrity blogs at the moment. If she isn’t Fame personified who is?

Quite a tame photo of Jessica Alba and friend strolling though LA above is our header but look more closely and there’s  some strange tongue in check graffiti dotted here and there. This header on the main blog  will be changed when we get the urge. Rihanna from “Love The Way You Lie” heads off our video zone in style.
