A raw, and we mean raw, amateur video of Cher Lloyd with red hair (possible wig) taken from the 3rd row at the Birmingham LG Arena over the weekend, you can’t get much closer than that   Taken from one of the first stops of the X Factor tour which will be going on for the next couple of months. Cher Lloyd is performing her version of “Girlfriend” live in the vid below, the vid quality is not great but it had to be here. Is there just a slight Rihanna influence here………….just a bit? Other finalists were also there including the winner Matt Cardle, Rebecca Ferguson and more.

Adele tops UK Charts and beats off Lady Gaga to make chart history!

Adele deservedly has made No1 in the charts beating off the massive Lady Gaga in the process to claim the No1 spot and make UK chart history.

Why chart history? Her single ‘Someone like You’ flew in from 47 to No1. Her second album called simply ’21′ is now at it’s fourth week at No1 in the album charts

But that’s not all! Her debut album called ’19′ is at No4 in the album charts and her other single ‘Rolling in the deep’ is also No4 in the singles charts.

In summary she has 2 singles in the top 5 in the singles charts and 2 albums in the top 5 in the album charts. To put things into perspective this has not been achieved since ‘The Beatles’!

So whats caused this! Despite the fact that she is a hugely talented artist and can belt out an amazing live performance and the album “21″ is very good, we think it may have a had something to do with her recent Brit awards live performance of ‘Someone Like You’.

Picture the scenario? It’s Paris Hilton’s birthday and you are not exactly short of a few shekels so you decide to throw a bday bash of which the highlight is an enormous red birthday cake that tastes as good as it looks. The final cake bill is to the tune of $3200!

Turn the clock forward a couple of hours and lo and behold the entire cake gets stolen by a cake thief who decides to take it home and have it as a large edible centre piece to his living room. The cake thief then not content with his achievement then thinks it would be a good idea to put a picture of this massive cake on his facebook page as a sort of trophy as to how clever he is.

The thing is we know his name is Paz and we have his facebook page address. Aren’t thieves supposed to be anonymous or are they also in on the celebrity thing?

Lady Gaga is causing mayhem with her new single and soon to come out new album both called “Born This Way“.  Last week it made No1 in the billboard Charts and set up a couple of records. The first being “Born This Way” is the 1000th No1 hit in the billboards 52 year history. secondly it sold  448,000 copies in digital form alone in the opening week breaking previous records of female artists including Britney Spears’ and her new offering ‘Hold It Against Me’.

Gaga apparently said  in response to these headlines “It is a tremendous honour to be the 1000th No. 1 on Billboard…I would be silly not to say this is the greatest honor of my career”

London Fashion Week is now underway and this is for the Autumn/Winter season and this always manages to bring in the star names. Some names you would expect to be there because of their fashion connections including Anna Wintour, Daisy Lowe and Fashion Legend “Twiggy”.

 Daisy Lowe grabs the headline, she’s a personal favourite model who doesn’t give a damn, what she does others follow, often blindly with disastrous results. You have to be Daisy Lowe and only Daisy Lowe to pull some of her stuff off. My kinda girl!

On a side note you may want to check out a young lady called Tavi Gevinson a fashion blogger who’s causing waves in fashion circles with her blog called The Style Rookie and is apparently setting up her own magazine. All this and she’s only 14? She skips school to attend fashion events so she can update her blog. May want to check what she has written about London Fashion week she often gets on the front row!. There was a picture of her last week in London’s Evening Standard with her in a close up shot with Anna Wintour, one of the rocks of the fashion establishment. Had yours truly saying “Well I’ll be damned”.  A thought for the fashionistas who visit this site……………..it can be done!

This weeks film releases reviewed by Alex Zane of The Sun. You’ve seen the posters saying “brilliant” or “fantastic” or “best film” or “a must see” or “this is the film of 2011″ and the 4 and 5 star ratings (why are they always 4 or 5 stars in the posters?),  but what are these films really like. All with trailers and some back up ratings from Larushka from Metro where available. Splash the cash or save your cash. You decide?

Big Mommas: Like Father Like Son. Martin Lawrence and Brandon T Jackson. Ridiculous title, ridiculous film and one that may leave you more miserable than before you went in to the cinema. Funny it is NOT! 1 star. Larushka at Metro also says 1 star!

Yogi Bear. Too much time spent on character building on what are essentially simple characters cuts the fun factor down in what is supposed to be a kids animation film. Rating 2 stars

Confessions A Japanese High School thriller that funnily enough hails from Japan. If you are into foreign films this could be for you. Starts good then gets a bit silly nearer the end. Rating 3 Stars

Justin Bieber. Never say Never. Essentially a 3D biopic of how he got where he is now . This is not just for screaming Bieber fans but is quite easily watchable by all age groups and is a half decent film. Rating 4 stars. Larushka at Metro says 3 stars. Regardless. FILM OF THE WEEK!

Inside Job. The 2008 stock market collapse and the collapse of the banks. This film is not exactly Wall Street but is coming up as exceptionally good none the less even if this subject matter is not your thing. Rating 5 stars.
