Britney Spears "Hold It Against Me"

Britney Spears at last has released her new official video that premiered on MTV some hours ago. It’s had loads of hype and fan fare, this new offering off her upcoming album, after all that…………..is it any good?

The Video. Up to the usual Britney standards, she knows what her fans want, she gets the best names in the business to achieve that and the end result is spectacular but for some reason we don’t think it matches the song spot on…..maybe it’s us, but otherwise technically it’s on the money.

The Song: It’s been out a while in audio/mp3 format and we were expecting a vastly different as billed sound from her normal offerings but it still seems to be pretty much Britney Spears with a mild Euro twang………. sort of? Lyrics are OK but nothing to shout about, technicals as in the music score and backing is OK and vocally again Britney is on the money we don’t doubt that for a second.

Now we’ve got your attention, surely glamour puss Megan Fox wasn’t spotted on the ski slopes in hair rollers and no make up.? This can’t be? Is this a worrying new trend? Will Hollywood ever be the same again? Has Ski Slope glamour gone out the window? Are hair rollers in public making a worrying comeback? Has Megan Fox seen something at New York fashion week that possibly the rest of the world hasn’t? Is she rooting for one of those fashion icons style awards? Maybe she’s skint and can’t afford make up at the mo? You’d better read on!

Yes Megan Fox or as we call her “Meygan Fax” because that’s how she says her name in her trademark accent, is causing absolute chaos on the news wires with her hair rollers whilst laughing her head off in ski gear? WHY is the worrying question………………should we get the men in white coats?

Delving a bit deeper it turns out Megan Fox was filming on set for her new film called “Friends With Kids” in the Bronx in New York. Are there ski slopes in the Bronx in New York……..Errr? The actual scenes were being shot in a ski resort called Mt Peter in Warwick which we would assume is New York State but the main body of the film is shot we assume in New York in the mountain less Bronx.

Justin Bieber was in London town which was pretty good timing for the premiere of his 3D biopic film called ‘Never Say Never’. It sounds like the title for a Bond film and for some reason hundreds of screaming hysterical fans turned up to catch a glimpse of the US teenage star who’s hairstyles and nail polish range seem to be as famous if not more so than the Bieber himself?

The event was held at the O2 Arena in Docklands probably due to the large amounts of screaming fans and the stars turned out for this one.

Hailee Steinfeld is coming up increasingly on the celeb news wires for her role in True Grit, she’s on the rise and quite rapidly. Thought we had better get her on the books and sharpish! She was in Tokyo yesterday attending a press conference for the film and she was given the “True Grit” flag to fly on her own at the mere age of 14!

She has literaly come from nowhere but she has been acting since the age of 8 and has featured in a number of supporting roles in teen style films and television, and appeared in a K-Mart commercial for “blingatude.” On January 16, 2011. She is up  for Best Supporting Actress at the 83rd Academy Awards on January 25, 2011. She stars with Jeff Bridges and Matt Damon in this “True Grit” Film and it has to be said her screen presence even at this age is not intimidated by the presence of these massive stars, she can hold her own!

A name we are watching very closely indeed,  as to be nominated at the age of 14 for an Oscar, that’s simply astonishing. Chances are she probably will not win it as The Academy Awards seem to like seasoned actors/actresses, but if she does win, her career is going into orbit, if she doesn’t win we still think this young actress could be going places regardless!

Diane Kruger and a smattering of stars were at the Warner Bros. Los Angeles Premiere of ‘Unknown’ held at Regency Village Theatre on February 16, 2011 in Westwood, California. Names such as January Jones, Liam Neeson and Aidan Quinn were at the event who also star in the film and further names that attended included Kim Kardashian and her mum Kris Jenner.
