A casual Uma Thurman

Uma Thurman (Pulp Fiction and Kill Bill Fame) and Michael Angarano who star in this film and a host of other stars were  at the ‘Ceremony’ Los Angeles premiere at ArcLight Cinemas last night in Hollywood which apparently is in California.

Some big names here at this event including Henry Winkler of The Fonz and cult TV show Happy Days fame  who just happens to be the father of the director of this film as in Max Winkler. Also , Bryce Dallas Howard famous for her role in the recent Terminator film and Jonah Hill amongst others. This film is another rom com but this one is apparently quite funny unlike some recent offerings out there that just seem to be jumping on the rom com band wagon just to make a few bucks and failing miserably! Thurman is a decent actress, can’t see her lending her name to a no hoper rom com style film, so this film should be at least half decent, based on that theory alone?

After the massive  headlines yesterday concerning Chris Brown and the goings on after his interview with Good Morning America when the “Ri Ri Assault” question was asked and things started to kick off, further info at Boston.com, it just so happens we have a certain Chris Brown doing a spot of basketball playing in New York to blow off some steam and the photogs went berserk. Rare shots indeed!.

 Chris Brown heads the line up of other big name celebrities spotted in New York on Tuesday 22 March, other names include  Alec Baldwin, Bethenny Frankel, Chris Brown – Singer, Elisabeth Hasselbeck, Jane Krakowski, Michelle Trachtenberg , Sandra Bullock, Shaquille O’Neal, Tina Fey, Tom Hanks, Tracy Morgan and Whoopi Goldberg.

Mark Cuban was the interviewee on the Jimmy Kimmel Show but that didn’t last for long when the subject and  conversation unavoidably tuned to Charlie Sheen.  Lo and behold the man himself  mysteriously turns up out of the blue at the studio shouting “how ya doin” repeatedly to a stunned hysterical audience, there is some bleeping,  he then hugs Mark Cuban and then heads over to Jimmy Kimmel and puckers up and plants one sloppy wet one on the host, live on US TV. No machete waving  here, what’s in the plastic bag?, where’s Bree Olson?……………is this just another typical day in the life of Charlie Sheen?

They are having a bit of a party over at AOL, the correct term is a “listening party” and Britney Spears and her new album is up for grabs for a free listen, all 12 tracks from the album, all full versions, no samplers, the real deal (have had a listen the sound is decent) only thing is you can’t download for free obviously that’s the catch, for that you have to splash the cash!

Season 12  of Dancing with the Stars has kicked off, an uber popular show that is watched by all generations from age 2 to 92 and is now underway and last night was the first of many weeks where stars will be proving they can cha cha cha, fox trot and tango much to the delight of millions of viewers in the US.

This season we have the following line up which includes 11 stars from all walks of life and there 11 dance partners. Petra Nemcova grabs the headline as she is a survivor of the 2004 Tsunami and she dedicated her dance to the recent Tsunami disaster in Japan that is currently dominating the world headlines.  Petra Nemcova is more famous for her bikini glamour photos that appear in Stuff and SI but the photo above proves even when she’s not in a bikini she still sizzles. Question is did she sizzle on the dance floor? No commentary or reviews on last nights dancing. we’ll leave that to the experts as yours truly hasn’t got the first idea and wouldn’t know the difference between a fox trot and  a tango. Isn’t a tango one of those fizzy drinks?

IFC Midnight’s ‘Super’ premiered last night at the Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood LA and names such as Ellen Page and Liv Tyler who star in the film were at the event.  The film is billed as an American dark comedy directed and written by James Gunn.

Plot
After his wife Sarah (Tyler) hooks up with a smooth-talking drug dealer named Jock (Kevin Bacon), Frank (Wilson) transforms himself into superhero “The Crimson Bolt”. Then with the help of a trusty wrench, Frank wages a one man war on crime. Libby (Page), a local comic book store employee, transforms herself into a superheroine named “Boltie” and becomes Frank’s sidekick. The two then team up to take Jock down. Super Film Premiere. Photos

The cast includes Rainn Wilson, Liv Tyler, Ellen Page and Kevin Bacon. Critics are mixed on this one and are comparing it to Kick Ass and Batman with regards to the plot but then the box office numbers on those films tell a different story. Just going by the line up here this should be at least half decent?
