What a disaster this is. So with Cheryl Cole leaving the UK X Factor for the US Version only to be given the chop after a couple of weeks with the words “things don’t seem to be working out pet and adios” (see previous artcicle) being muttered in her ear we now have Cheryl Cole back in the UK with her tail between her legs and apparently not answering phone calls to return to the UK Version according to the gossip grape vine and lets face it can you blame her. My attitude would be X Factor…………..you can stick it and keep your money! By all accounts Cheryl has received quite a handsome leaving present in the form of a decent payout for her booting from the US version but that’s not the point is it……………it’s not about the money.
Looking at this from Fox’s the TV producers point of view if ratings slip dramatically then the axe wil come out sharpish and probably even quicker in the States and unfortunately Cheryl Cole was on the receiving end of that axe swing. Still think though they should have done a dry one and test with her to get a test audience reaction instead of just chucking her out there live on prime time and hope for the best. That’s not very professional is it?
The X Factor auditions for the UK version will be beginning this Wednesday and Thursday and apparently Simon Cowell the man himself is in the UK for obvious reasons and also for Britain’s Got Talent affectionately known on Twitter as BGT which is also underway. You could say he’s got his hands full and maybe juggling too many balls. He’s a businessman and a ruthless one at that and he comes across as a numbers man and the bigger numbers and the cash cow is the US X Factor, that’s his baby and that’s where his priorities lie. Names, personalities, peoples feelings and those sort of things don’t really come into it……it’s business. That’s just the way he is and the way you have to be in the media game!
