Billboard carry a lot of clout in the music industry, they are not the Grammy’s nor are they MTV but they are most certainly up there and this event is coming out as big in the photo stakes. This awards event was held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena on May 22, 2011 in Las Vegas. Over 1000 photos for this event at the time of writing and probably still rising as they are still coming in as we speak.

Huge line up of big name stars at this event you would not believe, we are talking pretty much the full monty here and an A lister music extravaganza. Where do you start, lets start with Beyonce, then Rihanna, then Britney Spears, Black Eyed Peas, Bono of U2, 50 cent, Ken Jeong, Selena Gomez, Taylor Swift, Justin Bieber, Ke$ha, Kelly Rowland, Nicki Minaj, Mary J Blige and the list goes on. A red carpet spectacular, and music award red carpets always make for spectacular viewing as anything goes, you could say the same goes for the renowned after parties. Grab the full arrivals list at the foot of this article. Red carpet wise we liked Selena Gomez and for colour it’s got to be Nicki Minaj.
2011 Billboard Music Awards – Show
Justin Bieber grabs the headline as he cleaned up at this event with a total of 7 gongs and when he picked up his Best new artist gong he had this to say;
“I’m 17 and I want to thank God because, you know, he’s blessed me so much. Every day is crazy because I see so many people. It’s crazy that I’m surrounded by so many amazing people.” He added, “I want to thank my fans again for being so amazing. I want to thank my mum.”
That’s good to hear. Bieber has his priorities right……….always remember to thank your mum………. that’s what we say! Bieber Beating Eminem at 17 eh!

In the top echelons of the award rankings the other stars that did well included Eminem who received six gongs (not present at the event), while Lady GaGa, Rihanna and Taylor Swift collect three gongs each.
