Fame Fad on Facebook Beta Now Live!

Fame Fad at Facebook BETA

Fame Fad at Facebook BETA

Two dogs with shades and tongues hanging out? Fame Fad has just gone live on Face Book  in a demo beta format, currently still on trial and features some news snippets that are too small to go on the Fame Fad website but are too big for our Twitter Page. Current headlines include Eva Longoria topless on a horse?, Lady Gaga and a 15 minute interview in the UK, Cheryl Cole dazzling at Cannes and the Jersey Shore Crew arriving in Florence in Italy to start filming the new series.  These are just swipes from other sources. in effect promoting the competition but it also promotes our Facebook page. A few photos have also been uploaded as well. Click on the You Tube link on this page and there’s more vids.  Click the blog link on this Face Book page and you get the feed from this site. These updates took a matter of minutes. Click on the like button if you think this  new Facebook page is the biz and we”ll add more stuff. If it stays on 2 likes we won’t! How about that for blackmail?

Still playing around with this Facebook to see what it can do but from what we’ve seen so far it’s pretty impressive stuff. Again Fame Fad at Facebook will not replace Famefad.com nor will our Twitter but if a headline is not earth shatteringly big enough for this site it may appear over on this Facebook page. Obviously Facebook has a very powerful social and community aspect to it, something we will be looking to tap into. How is the question? Not happy with Ashton Kutcher replacing Charlie Sheen, think Cheryl Cole’s new hairdo looks too American and 1980s, are you worried about Justin Bieber throwing up live on stage. Get those views and more on this new Facebook page.

Attack the Block and This Weeks Film Reviews. The Good the Average and the Grim!

Attack The Block

Film of the Week. Attack The Block!

This weeks UK film releases reviewed to find out which are the good, which are the average and most importantly which are the grim to be avoided at all costs. Metro the Free paper is our source this week with Larushka Ivan Zadeh providing her views and she doesn’t mince her words. If it’s good she blows a rather large trumpet, if its grim the thing will get quite viciously mauled to pieces and will limp away never to return. All with an added dash of sarc and wit from yours truly. What a combo!

Stepping up gingerly to the chopping board we have Attack The Block, Take Me Home Tonight, The Way, A Screaming Man, Red Hill and Love Like Poison. There are no 1 star films but also no 5 star films either but plenty in between. Nothing big in film names here but a couple or coming out as decent. All reviews have the corresponding film trailer in HD where available to form your own opinion. Beware though, some of the best trailers seen have led to some excruciatingly mind numbing experiences when you finally hit the cinema .You are then left with 2 options either throw popcorn at the screen (much better from the back) or walk out and pour your popcorn out in the cinema foyer making the words ” film x really sucks” on the foyer carpet!

Take Me home Tonight: Topher Grace and Anna Faris star in this yet another 80′s big hair themed film about a pair of twins who’s lives are going nowhere. Love lives are flat being blamed on their partners and the highlights are stealing a car, a bag of coke and all culminating in a school reunion party with a rather funny dance off. Sounds confusing and pointless and it is, could be funny but the laughs are limited and the actors and characters leave something to be desired. Not impressive. Rating 2 stars.

The Way:Emilio Estevez of Young Guns fame has a stab at film directing. It stars Martin Sheen (real life Estevez father) as Tom a grumpy father who suddenly finds out his son (Estevez) dies hiking the Camino De Santiago pilgrimage route but before completing it. Tom then decides rather morbidly to take his sons ashes with him to the trail and complete the hike. Of course he meets characters on the way wondering why the hell he’s hiking whilst carrying a casket but the characters are take or leave it. It’s. a weary long trudge of a film and the only relief is the spectacular scenery filmed on location in Northern Spain. One to miss unless you are one of those rambler types. Rating 2 stars.

Ashton Kutcher replaces Charlie Sheen and crashes Twitter. A closer look?

Ashton Kutcher

Ashton Kutcher Punkd

A bit of a bombshell headline in the US that we felt even over here in the UK! It was all happening this afternoon on Twitter when Ashton Kutcher the other half of Demi Moore aka Mrs Kutcher on Twitter when it was officially announced Kutcher is  the replacement for Charlie Sheen in Two and half Men for the new Series after Charlie Sheen was axed and the series cut short earlier this year.. That headline crashed Twitter for about half an hour. This is a closer look at that headline.

Ashton Kutcher according to the BBC had this to say about his new role.

“I can’t replace Charlie Sheen but I’m going to work my ass off to entertain the hell out of people,” Kutcher said.

Sounds good to us, but we think he has got his work cut out as this is a very popular show and Charlie Sheen was an integral part of it. Replace or ditch a main character without intruducng it into the story line  say such as a sudden death can have a serious affect on viewer numbers and the hardcore audience may just tune out regardless of who takes his place.

Beyonce "Girls (Who Run The World) " Video Release Delayed. News Bulletin!

Beyonce

Beyonce in a lime green camo hoody

Quick headline on the new Beyonce official video for “Girls (Who Run The World)” which we have been waiting patiently for and also putting a lot of stuff on hold for. This thing was billed for a release date of this Friday, Friday is here and according to Vevo the Video Channel this video will not be released today. Lovely!  Beyonce is looking to perfect it further before it is officially released. So obviously it’s still in some form of post production and editing. She’s a bit of a perfectionist…..she wants it just right? GREAT!

There is as yet no new release date at present. When news surfaces we will post it on our Twitter page. In the meantime snippets in the form of teasers are appearing and a third teaser has been released. Again keep an eye on our Twitter it may appear over there. Full review of this song and video will be happening when it’s officially released.

Watch for further news!

Mention the words “Calvin Klein” and “Party” and location “South of France” and event= “The Cannes Film Festival”……………..you just know whats going to happen…….stampeding frenzied female celebs of the first order.

It’s a bit like saying “Paris Fashion Week” the stars especially of the female persuasion will be dropping all engagements even if they are filming with words “sorry got to go… Calvin Klein party at Cannes …..bye and TTFN”. Of course some are starring in the featured films at the Cannes event. ….that’s the real reason…………….. course it is…………..Calvin Who??…………..fashion….me…not interested in the slightest!.

Busy day in celebrittyville in London yesterday and all ages, so plenty to feast your eyes on with regard to celebrity sightings as a lot of things were going down the main event being The Pirates of The Caribbean On Stranger Tides premiere in Westfield London (see previous post).  which meant Penelope Cruz and Johnny Depp were in town. Grab the paparazzi shots of them floating around London prior to the event. Lady Gaga was also in town fresh in from Cannes after doing her opening stint there (see our Twitter for Cannes pics).

Other names spotted in the London area include “you get nothing for a pair”  veteran TV host and legend Bruce Forsythe. Fearne Cotton on her usual run to the BBC studios to do her Radio 1 DJ stuff, Eva Green, Geoffrey Bush, Geri Halliwell of Spice Girls fame, Jerry Bruckheimer, Kerry Katona ex Atomic Kitten, Peter Andre who needs no introduction (just don’t mention the words “Katie Price”), Robin Gibb of the classic 70s/80s  Bee Gees minus the other Gibbs? and Sarah Ferguson The Royal Duchess of York who for some reason didn’t get an invite to the recent Royal Wedding? We won’t go there!

Pirates of the Caribbean On Stranger Tides had it’s premiere in London  at the Westfield Shopping Centre and this is a new venue that seems to be making a regular feature and looks to be taking over a lot of the premieres from the traditional Leicester Square venue. This venue is undercover and enables premieres to be held all year round regardless of the weather something Leicester square was unable to do. Better parking as well!

Pirates of the Caribbean On Stranger Tides London Premiere  Arrivals

Pirates of the Caribbean On Stranger tides took over part of the massive Westfield  shopping centre where the premiere took place next to the Vue cinema with a lot of confused shoppers walking by wondering “what is going on here?” . Blue carpet and a massive pirates head was the focal point suspended above and the host shouting on a mic with screaming fans below. for this premiere fantastico We were there for all of 5 minutes (had a job on just round the corner) just checking to see whether it was on,  grabbing the vibe and checking out this new venue and letting people know on Twitter that it is actually happening as sometimes they don’t!

FJ  tweeted  “Johnny Depp and Penelope Cruz confirmed for Pirates premiere thats live from Westfield. Approx 5.30pm”
FJ @famefad on Twitter

Good Brit celeb turn out for this one with Dermot O’Leary the X Factor host, Gok Wan, Jameela Jamil, Jessica Lowndes, Victoria Hervey, Una Healy of The Saturdays and Ian McShane who plays blackbeard in this film. Of course the main stars of the film Johnny Depp and Penelope Cruz were the main feature of this film premiere.

The premiere crowd included people not just from London but from around the UK and also from abroad and some of the crowd were interviewed by the premiere host to find out where they were from. One said they were from Alaska…Yeah Right?.
