A closer look at this weeks film releases in the UK helping you decide whether to take the plunge and see a film at the flicks or to save your cash and order a pizza and have it delivered to your door instead, then stay in and watch Eastenders and round it off with a cup of rosy and a couple of hob nobs!
A quick word on film reviews. Highest rating is 5 stars. Lowest rating is 1 star. 5 star films are rare and so are 1 star films it’s the mediocre ones you have to watch out for as they are not so bad that you walk out half way through but they are not so good that you are actually enjoying what you are watching. What we call catch 22, you paid a wedge to get in to see it, you’re stuck there until the end hoping things dramatically pick up and ……….errr……. they rarely do. Those are the worst films. Some 1 star films have been seen that were so bad they actually were a pretty good watch if you don’t take them too seriously and can be so bad they are hilarious. Again one person’s 1 star is another persons 5 star and vica versa. So take these reviews with a pinch of salt.
Films this week under the microscope are Mothers Day, Honey 2, The Flaw, Kung Fu Panda 2 and Kaboom. Nothing really exceptional it has to be said this week bar one film. Reviews are sourced from Alex Zane of The Sun who seems to rate films as people in the street would rate them. That’s what we like here!
Reviews also have trailers (click on title link) to help you make your own mind up but beware basing any judgement on a film trailer.
