Famefad on Twitter.
There’s been a few massive changes on the Famefad Twitter Page over the weekend , a bit of a reorg and a change of policy on who we follow and how we use it as we are looking to interact more with people and have a laugh but the headlines will still be there. Part of some big reorg going on behind the scenes at Famefad.com in preperation for the September onwards celebrity busy season, that is now not that far away. If this doesn’t get done now it will not get done for another 8 months or so. Here’s the latest developments, I don’t mince my words, but it is good news!
1. All news sources, PR, media and the like have been put on a media-pr private list and have been unfollowed so are no longer on our main timeline. 99% of these have tens or hundreds of thousands of followers and follow 186 or so, the chances of getting followed are pretty much zero so they’ve gone on a list. It’s not really about being followed by these people I personally couldn’t care less that applies to celebrities as well, it’s they just bury everything on the timeline and I’m missing important tweets from a small core of celebrities that I follow and also from a select band of interesting people. Having to keep going direct to their twitter page 4 or 5 times a day or more to see if they have tweeted or not which is a pain and also makes me look a bit stalkerish which I’m not……..don’t have the time or the inclination. We still use these media news pr twitter users but just watch them via a separate timeline in list format.
2. As a result of change No 1 our timeline is 90% quieter which means we are looking to start following new people instead of businesses news and media tweeps. If you’ve got something interesting to say, are a character or are an up and coming music artist, DJ, actor, band, blogger or a rising business person with an interesting timeline that engages with people instead of just spewing out business tweets all day long we will probably follow. If you’re none of these then we will probably list and we do that once a week on the weekends.
3. Existing celebrities and any other people as in non celebrity news tweeps followed prior to this weekend are unaffected and are still being followed.
So who do we follow? Here’s the mystery explained.
