Lady Gaga and “Marry The Night” live on The UK X Factor 2011 Live Results Show 6!

Lady Gaga

Lady Gaga was on the X Factor Live Results Show 6 last night and as per usual her set and costumes were shall we say highly creative although not quite as bizarre as the MTV EMA’s held the other week. She performed her new single “Marry The Night” live and the verdict is a not bad performance at all.

A clever performance from one of the leading performers out there at present,  her outfit meant she couldn’t do much in the energetic dance sequences department,  she left that to her dancers otherwise we would be talking voice over or the dreaded mime territory. This meant she could focus on delivering a decent vocal performance and that’s what it’s all about especially on X Factor!

“Marry the Night” was initially going to be

Katy Perry and the “The One That Got Away” Official Video and Verdict!

Katy Perry

Katy Perry has just released the official video for her sixth single called “The One That Got Away”, out at the time of writing about 2 hours ago and a good way to end the week. Does this video have what it takes! Let’s take a closer critical look.

The Video: As it says on the Katy Perry Offical Vevo Channel  “Katy Perry and Diego Luna star in the sixth chapter of the “Teenage Dream” story. Do you have “The One That Got Away“?

Released on that special day of 11.11.11 as in today, this video looks a bit darker and moodier than most of her offerings and  is a flashback video on past love and what could have been and it soon becomes apparent that the old women  looking back and the husband she now has is not the one that she fell in love with all those years ago, that one has indeed “got away”. A good video a sort of mini movie which is the “in vogue thing”at the moment and is very good! Sort of reminds me of the film “Titanic” with the old woman at the beginning, similar thing and situation? In video terms it’s definitly “Job done”!

The Song:  a slow start but that catchy base line
