What a weekend for Adele. 6 Grammy Awards in one night, that’s life altering stuff, after the dust from the event has settled what is Adele thinking at this very moment in time? This article is a closer look at that situation that Adele is in, gleaned form various media articles floating around?

The single Someone Like You and  Rolling in The Deep and the Album 21 all awarded on that Grammy night, these are very hard acts to follow and any new album has an incredibly tough job to beat these, a very tough job indeed. Also she must be thinking can you improve on 6 Grammy Awards in one night and then you ask yourself another question,  if you win say 8 the next time round does that make you any better than when you won a phenomenal six and what does it prove? When you start thinking along these lines it’s pretty clear this Grammy Awards marks a watershed in the life of Adele and her musical career.

It’s definetly a milestone she’ll remember to the grave and a bit like studying at University and then people take a year out to do whatever they want to do such as travelling around the world or becoming a reindeer farmer in Lapland for a year. Adele is in the same situation she’s achieved what she’s set out to do after a lot of very hard work and it’s maybe time to think about normal everyday things in life, bread and butter stuff like relationships, a home and just having time to do things outside of the music industry and time to think about normal everyday life things.

Recording an album especially if you are a singer and songwriter is time consuming anf hard work, it’s a creative process, some days it’s happening and you may work 36 hours straight then for a week or so or longer  it’s not. When it’s finally in draught form it then needs to be produced, lengthy studio sessions, Take 1, Take 9. Then album artwork, it then needs to be promoted and then each single generates video shoots for official videos and the new album generates either national or international tour dates and these can go on for many many months and you are away from home for extended periods of time. You are also tied into record contracts that stipulate you have to do this and must be available for that at X time on Y date at Z short notice..

Delving into recent headlines The Sun has shed some light on this current predicament that Adele is in and it looks like she may be thinking of taking a few years off maybe even five years to focus on her current relationship with Simon Konecki where she is very much in love and look at other areas of her life which suffers when she is involved with her musical work. In her words (she doesn’t mince them) according to The Sun she said : “I am f****** off for four or five years. If I am constantly working, my relationships fail“. It’s all quiet at the moment at her Twitter @offficaladele where she has 4 Million plus followers. “A penny for them” is an old expression that springs to mind right now and she must be thinking amongst many thoughts “Where do I go from here?”. All I can say is 6 Grammy Awards in one night means she was  put on this planet to do the very thing she is doing now, finding a way to integrate that into the rest of her life is the challenge that lies ahead!
