The Brit Awards 2012 were held last night at the O2 Arena in London and if you were anything to do with the Brit music scene you were probably there. Predictably Adele and Ed Sheeran came away with the lions share of the awards. Adele nailed the Best British Female and the Best British album Award with Ed Sheeran claiming the British Breakthrough Act and Best British Male.. Colplay had a well deserved win with the Best British Group Award and Emeli Sande a rising star we are watching closely was awarded the coveted Critics Choice Award. Full list of winners below.

Onto the show and James Corden was the main host for the event (again) and headed a strong musical line up with performances from Adele, Blur, Rihanna, Ed Sheeran, Bruno Mars, Tinie Tempah, Olly Murs and Florence Welch to name just a few. One of the highlights of the night that’s grabbed the medias attention is Adele’s acceptance speech saying she was proud to be British being cut short by James Corden which resulted in her giving the organisers “the finger”. Of course a lot of things go on after these events and the Brit awards 2012 was no exception and “After Party” is the buzz word for the stars concerned. The Warner Music After Party seemed to be where it was at, held at  at Two Temple Place in London with names in attendance including Annie Mac, Caroline Flack, Ed Sheeran, Fearne Cotton, Jesse Wood, Juliette Lewis, Maverick Sabre, Nick Grimshaw, Professor Green, Ray Winstone and Sara Cox. Mr Plan B was particularly interested in getting some close up shots of himself. Enough said!
