The Strippers Vs Werewolves Film. A closer look?
The London Film Premiere for Strippers Vs Werewolves was supposed to be held tonight 24 April at the BFI IMAX cinema on the Southbank. We’ve managed to get one shot of this event as it looks like the premiere did take place sort of. Photo . Yes you did read that right this film is called “Strippers vs Werewolves”. Have decided to run this article which was bashed out on my mobile, premiere or not, as this looks a cracker….er…….not?
With such a ridiculous title this can’t be a horror movie to be taken seriously, so is it indeed a comedy horror? That would certainly be correct!
So what’s this film all about? Total Film summarises the film as Freddy meets Hollyoaks meets Emmerdale meets The Bill. Will not mean much outside the UK and probably not much more inside the UK either, but then again does it really matter? Which brings us nicely onto the plot…… if there is one?
Plot:
When werewolf chief Jack Ferris is accidentally killed in a strip club the girls who work there have until the next full moon before his blood thirsty
wolfpack seek murderous retribution. Info courtesy IMDB
It’s not looking promising. The film is directed by Jonathan Glendening who’s most recent direction is Night Wolf back in 2010. We have some horror experience then, but does this bode well here?
Cast:
Robert Englund, Steven Berkoff, Lysette Anthony, Billy Murray and Martin Kemp

The Critics:
Now the fun bit, what do the critics think of this comedy horror fest?
Total Film: Freddy meets Hollyoaks meets Emmerdale meets The Bill in this cheap-as-chips horror mash-up, featuring TV’s finest – and Robert
Englund, in a pointless five-minute cameo.
Come on- it’s set in London it must be good?
The Daily Star: It’s badly-directed trash which looks
like it might have been edited on a mobile phone.
Huh what do they know. This can’t be right surely, it’s got ex Eastenders star Martin Kemp in it of Spandau Ballet fame? Lets try another one!
Empire Online: Shoddy monsters surprisingly let down a fun B-movie concept. Still, if Spandau Ballet ever got on your nerves there’s always the sight of a hairy Martin Kemp meeting his maker.
Cutting, just ruthlessly cutting and just 2 stars out of 5 from the lot of them. Is it worth trying a fourth one. Probably not!! Ending on a positive note……. there’s plenty of stockings in it even if the women do look a bit manic?
Release Date
The film is billed for a 27 April release (apparently) but with no premiere that’s looking questionable. Apparently there is a DVD version. It’s all a bit of a mystery. This is the grim low end of the film industry the bit that most people don’t see. Now you know.
As always if you are a fan of any of these stars or just have a thing for Werewolf Strippers this could be your thing and your lucky day as apart from Dusk Till Dawn (good film) there’s not much else out there like this…………. but don’t say we didn’t warn you

Uh oh, looks like something went wrong. Try again in a sec!
