The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and The African Cats Royal London Premiere!
Prince William and Catherine Duchess of Cambridge attended the Royal UK premiere of African Cats which was held in aid of Tusk. Matthew Williamson was the design chosen by Kate for this red carpet event one of her favourites we note, and as always impeccable was the result. Trying to think of a time when she was less than impeccable since her wedding. Still thinking! She’s got what I call “the shine” that certain quality that sets her apart from the masses and that shines so brightly from within, just like the late Princess Diana. A people person.
Weather on the night was hardly Royal and plenty of Umbrella shots of the Royal couple below. Photo above was taken at a different event

Royal Premiere’s or gala’s are just that bit different and a bit more special than the mainstream events which have commercial undercurrents as in promotion and marketing of the film and turn into a red carpet fashion fantasia. This sort of premiere is jusy a bit different as a) they chose to attend this film premiere and view the film and b) that choice does have wide reaching effects in the film industry and a side effect is promotion you could say. c) there’s not really any red carpet competition to speak off. Quite a few Royal Gala film premiere films have gone on to win Oscars in some shape or form, not always but frequently enough for it to be noticed here and by those at the upper echelons of the film industry as well.
Events like this I always find personally interesting to see who has been invited and who is inside the Royal Circle or has connections within those realms. Here’s some of the people that were invited to the event. Names such as Alastair Fothergill, Ben Fogle, Guy Ritchie, Jacqui Ainsley, Kate Silverton and Mark Knopfler were on the inside on the night.
