The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations continue in London and the Buckingham Papace Concert was held yesterday at that rather large house on the mall. Special occasions bring out special people spanning over decades and this was yet another event of that calibre, part of the 4 day spectacle that is the Diamond Jubilee.
Thousands of well-wishers from around the world have flocked to London to witness the spectacle of the weekend’s celebrations and millions more have watched it on TV around the globe to witness something that may not be seen again in our lifetimes. A lot of names here for this concert including all of Royalty such as Prince William and Catherine – Duchess of Cambridge, Prince Charles and Camilla – Duchess of Cornwall, Prince Harry, Princess Anne, Princess Beatrice of York and more and of course The Queen but no Prince Philip who was not in attendance as he was rushed to hospital. Other prominent names outside of Royalty at the event included Prime Minster David Cameron and his wife Samantha Cameron, Rolf Harris and Andrew Lloyd Webber. Music stars honoured with performing at this Royal concert with names spanning generations that had to be at this musical celebration concert included classic and modern day icons such as Annie Lennox, Cheryl Cole, Cliff Richard, Ed Sheeran, Elton John, Gary Barlow, Grace Jones, Jessie J, Kylie Minogue, Paul McCartney, Robbie Williams, Shirley Bassey, Stevie Wonder, Tom Jones and Will.I.Am to name a few all finished off with a spectacular firework display over Buckingham Palace.
