Marion Cotillard Close Up in Black and White

“De Rouille et D’os” (doesn’t get any more French than that) Rust and Bone to the rest of us, had it’s premiere yesterday 17 May at the 65th Annual Cannes Film Festival. Marion Cotillard Oscar Winner and recently of Inception fame who has been quiet news wise of late is back with a massive bang and was dominating the red carpet at Cannes in no uncertain terms. She looked incredibly  happy to be there and the crowds were even happier.  She’s French the film is French, the premiere was in France, she’s gone back to her roots for this production….all good stuff.  The media are saying she could be coming away with the Best Actress Award at this coveted film festival. More on that from The Telegraph

Huge arrivals guest list for this premiere with names such as Beth Ditto, Bingbing Fan (love that name), Eva Longoria, Freida Pinto the (Slumdog Millionaire Girl), Hofit Golan, Jane Fonda and plenty of French stars gracing the magnificent red carpet spectacular.. Photos after the jump!

Eva Mendes and the Girl in Progress Special Screening. LA!

Eva Mendes Close up in Black and White

Eva Mendes attended the Los Angeles special screening of ‘Girl In Progress’ which was held last night (2 May) at the DGA Theater in Los Angeles. This film is a smaller production and is a comedy drama which will be on a limited release with the release date being billed as 11 May. Limited information as well on this film as well but it does star Eva Mendes, Russell Peters, Cierra Ramirez and Patricia Arquette.

In red carpet terms as you can imagine Eva was the biggest name there and outshone pretty much the entire red carpet line up

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and The African Cats Royal London Premiere!

Duke and Duchess of Cambridge Red Carpet

Prince William and Catherine Duchess of Cambridge attended the Royal UK premiere of African Cats which was held in aid of Tusk. Matthew Williamson was the design chosen by Kate for this red carpet event one of her favourites we note, and as always impeccable was the result. Trying to think of a time when she was less than impeccable since her wedding. Still thinking! She’s got what I call “the shine” that certain quality that sets her apart from the masses and that shines so brightly from within, just like the late Princess Diana. A people person.

Weather on the night was hardly Royal and plenty of Umbrella shots of the Royal couple below. Photo above was taken at a different event

Royal Premiere’s or gala’s  are just that bit different and a bit more special than the mainstream events which have commercial undercurrents

Zac Efron and Taylor Schilling and The Lucky One Premiere. London

Zac Efron Red Carpet Arrival

Zac Efron and Taylor Schilling were in town today for ‘The Lucky One’ European European film premiere which was held at the rather unusual venue of the Bluebird In Chelsea on The Kings Road in London. Despite the miserable London weather the crowds turned out for this one especially when a Hollywood heart throb like Zac Efron is in town even with a bandaged left hand? Photo
