The Oz The Great and Powerful Film Premiere was held last night (28 Feb) at the Empire cinema in Leicester Square and the four main stars of the film were in attendance including James Franco, Rachel Weisz, Michelle Williams and Mila Kunis along with the director Sam Raimi.

Sarah Silverman, Michelle Williams and Luke Kirby were at the ‘Take this Waltz’ Premiere last night which was held at the grass roots location of the Borough of Manhattan Community College during the 2012 Tribeca Film in New York. This film also stars Seth Rogen. Love these sort of events. Grab the photos including some cracking directors chairs below.

Take This Waltz is directed by Sarah Pooley  is a Canadian drama about a married woman who falls for another man. Alzheimer’s disease forming the backdrop to this romance. Take This Waltz appeared at the Toronto Film Festival last year. Critical reception is apparently not great but Katey Rich at Cinema Blend rates the film. Get her thoughts in a decent article here.

Michelle Williams who was nominated for Best Actress in her role in “my Week with Marilyn” at this years 2012 Oscars (84th Academy Awards) was one of the most photographed stars on the night and was only just marginally beaten by Angelina Jolie judged by sheer number of photos taken……………..it was close!  Michelle Williams did look very good indeed in a red flowing gown topped off with her trademark blonde crop.. This event was broadcast live on ABC. ABC’s Coverage of The 2012 Oscars (84th Academy Awards) Photos

The red carpet arrivals started at 4pm and finished at 5.30pm which is when the 2012 Oscars Awards Show started and the red carpet was packed with stars as you would expect making it the who’s who of Hollywood including actors. actresses, directors and anybody involved with the Hollywood film industry. Other prominent names from TV and music were also present.

Various pre Oscar event parties are springing up increasingly as the Academy Awards is being held this Sunday.  The bigger events that have a thronging  A Lister guest list normally happen over the weekend and the night before.  The Chateua Marmont the famous hotel at 8221 Sunset Boulevard in West Hollywood is normally one of the big venues where such pre parties are held which are either commercially sponsored or are charity events.

In this case The 7th Annual ‘Oscar Wilde: Honoring The Irish In Film’ Pre-Academy Awards Event was an honouring style event and was held last night at Bad Robot  in Santa Monica, California and stars such as Michelle Williams, Colin Farrell, Colin O’Donoghue, J J Abrams, Kenneth Branagh and Sharon Corr were the more notable names in attendance.
