Cannes Film Festival is buzzing although the weather hasn’t recently, with some unusual rain at the event but this being The Med rain doesn’t stay for long. Another huge influx of stars arrived for Day 6 of the 2012 Cannes Film Festival and some more photos of stars in casual mode as far removed from the red carpet at Cannes as you can get. Paparazzi photos is the topic here.

A quick scan of the names papped and we have Rita Ora, Ronan Keating. Karolina Kurkova, Tamara Beckwith, Irina Shayk and Cassie Ventura and Nick Cave. Full celebrity names photographed at foot. Rita Ora was the most heavily photographed in this gallery but gone with Nick Cave of Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds fame billed by many as the modern day Leonard Cohen, for me that name just stands out on the list for obvious reasons……he’s a character. The 2012 Chelsea Flower show is underway and the official pre opening day is the press and VIP review which was held yesterday at the Royal Hospital Chelsea in London. Some big Brit and international household name stars from past and present were at this event. Normally the Queen attends the Chelsea Flower Show along with other Royals but she is currently over in Canada on tour in connection with her ongoing Diamond Jubilee celebrations.

Names at this famous British Institutional event included Ricky Gervais and Jane Fallon, Angela Rippon (famous newsreader) Bruce Forsythe (TV Showbiz persona) and Willhelmina Forsythe, Cliff Richard, Jerry Hall, Michael Caine, Ringo Star and Amanda Holden of BGT judging fame. Robin Gibb of the Bee Gees dies of Cancer at 62!

Robin Gibb one of the brothers in the infamous line up of the disco group The Bee Gees has died after a long battle with Cancer aged 62. The Bee Gees are famous for their hits such as How Deep Is Your Love, Stayin’ Alive, and Tragedy back in the 70′s and 80′s in the days of Disco. The brothers also wrote major hits for other artists including Diana Ross’s Chain Reaction and Islands In The Stream for Dolly Parton and Kenny Rogers.

The Bee Gees are probably remembered mostly for their major musical backing in the film Saturday Night Fever which had a corresponding album that achieved similar status in the music charts and is now a cult classic that starred John Travolta and spawned many hits . More than 200 million records

Stars are flooding into Cannes for the 65th Cannes Film Festival, lets face it, this is one of those red carpets to be on…….whatever it takes! These are not red carpet shots though in this article, these are the equally interesting photos ogf stars arriving at Nice airport or spotted out and about in Cannes itself.

Who do have papped? Naomi Watts heads the line up along with Lily Cole, Melissa George, Pete Doherty (yes with the infamous hat) , Asia Argento, Ines de la Fressange, Nastassja Kinski, Orson Salazar, Paz Vega and of course not forgetting a checked shirt Shia LaBeouf. Stone me we’ve even got close ups of  suitcases and handbag shots. Doesn’t get any better than that!

Adele continues her march in the music awards stakes, if there is a music awards event out there she is normally picking up a gong somewhere along the line. Well she picked up more than one at this event, she totally dominated the proceedings and led the way with a huge haul, Top Artist being the one to win and Adele nailed that one along with many others. Good to see superior talent being recognised in a big way as these sort of singers don’t come along very often! A collection of photos taken inside the event and after the red carpet arrivals (see previous post for those shots) .

Photos taken from the actual Show itself with presenters and live performances along with some Press Room photos of the award winners holding their musical trophies, some sneaky Backstage pics seeing who was pally with who.

Winners on the night included the previously mentioned Katy Perry along with LMFAO who were also prominent along with Lady Gaga and Coldplay. all decent names you expect to win at least one award at such an event..

Performances included Kelly Clarkson of now Super Bowl National Anthem fame and Carrie Underwood who both did a live sample of their new singles, The Wanted also blasted out a tune , Usher and Justin Bieber thought it would be a good idea to perform on stage as well.
