The 2012 Chelsea Flower show is underway and the official pre opening day is the press and VIP review which was held yesterday at the Royal Hospital Chelsea in London. Some big Brit and international household name stars from past and present were at this event. Normally the Queen attends the Chelsea Flower Show along with other Royals but she is currently over in Canada on tour in connection with her ongoing Diamond Jubilee celebrations.

Names at this famous British Institutional event included Ricky Gervais and Jane Fallon, Angela Rippon (famous newsreader) Bruce Forsythe (TV Showbiz persona) and Willhelmina Forsythe, Cliff Richard, Jerry Hall, Michael Caine, Ringo Star and Amanda Holden of BGT judging fame. The Marie Curie Cancer Fund raiser Drinks Reception was held at the Claridge’s Hotel in London last night and some serious names turned out for this charity fundr aiser event including Royalty.  Princess Beatrice of York was in attendance along with mother Sarah Ferguson Duchess of York. Top celebrities included Kate Moss and Jamie Hince looking very much a happy item, Holly Vallance and Nick Candy ditto, David Bailey renowned photographer, Rolling Stones Ronnie Wood and Heather Kezner , Tamara Beckwith and Yasmin Le Bon plus Geri Haliwell of Spice Girls fame and many more. Quite a few big celeb names turned out last night for the Mary McCartney Food Book Launch Party which was held at the place to be at the moment the Liberty Store on Regent Street in London. Nancy Shevell and Paul Mccartney headed the star guest list that was a family affair.

Plenty of other names that need no introduction in attendance including Jade Jagger and beau, Jools Holland, James McCartney, Stella McCartney, of course Mary McCartney it was her night, Sarah McDonald, Andy Wong, Sadi Frost, and Noelle Reno. Even Sarah Ferguson, Duchess of York was at the event, how about that.

Mischa Barton was one of the many names in attendance at the Women For Women International Gala in association with Harper’s Bazaar at The Guildhall today May 3.  A rather posh charity event that was in aid of helping women survivors of war rebuild their lives. The Women for Women International ‘Making a Difference’ Award was presented to; Lord Mitchell, Jenny Saville, Nadja Swarovski and Mercedes Zobel as thanks for their help given.

A name that has been quiet for a while and one that makes me laugh is Cat Deeley, she’s a bit of a character. A photo of her with a fire extinguisher, hat and heels in a hotel room always springs to mind when I think of Cat. Further details in an article about a year or so old here that sheds some further interesting light!

With that article in mind Cat looks to have landed a new job as host for the new celebrity dating show called The Choice.

According to the Evening Standard the Show is along these lines:

“The programme will feature four famous men who will listen to regular girls talk about why they’re the right woman for them before they spin around to see their prospective date. Each of the celebrity’s chairs will come complete with a love handle that, when pulled, show each guy’s romantic interest.”

In appearance terms its comparable to The Voice
