Adele continues her march in the music awards stakes, if there is a music awards event out there she is normally picking up a gong somewhere along the line. Well she picked up more than one at this event, she totally dominated the proceedings and led the way with a huge haul, Top Artist being the one to win and Adele nailed that one along with many others. Good to see superior talent being recognised in a big way as these sort of singers don’t come along very often! Performances included Kelly Clarkson of now Super Bowl National Anthem fame and Carrie Underwood who both did a live sample of their new singles, The Wanted also blasted out a tune , Usher and Justin Bieber thought it would be a good idea to perform on stage as well. The Revlon Concert For The Rainforest Fund 2012 was held last night in Carnegie Hall in New York and this charity fund raiser event had all sorts of names from music and the silver screen performing live to raise money for this worthy cause. Proving that celebrity life isn’t just about awards, red carpet events and parties but also about putting something back in charity terms. Every celebrity has to have a cause……….it’s an unwritten Fame thing………………but it’s very much there none the less

The 2012 Golden Globe Awards now in it’s 69th Year was held at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills in LA to honor those in film who made a considerable and outstanding contribution throughout the previous film and TV year. With the coveted awards always being Best Film, Best Director, Best Actor and Best Actress. Supporting role awards also often awarded to rising stars are also an important award to win and highly regarded especially at an awards event of The Golden Globe Awards calibre which can only help those who have been awarded immensely.
This years 69th Golden Globe Awards were presented by Ricky Gervais famous for his unorthodox approach to being an awards presenter which sent shock waves around the globe and was front page headline news first time around with his machete style sarcastic remarks leaving the audience open mouthed in disbelief..
The Golden Globe’s is renowned for being a slightly more relaxed Oscar style event and prides itself for not only awarding giving out film awards but also TV Awards as well. A sort of Emmy’s and Oscar’s rolled into one. They obviously decided to have Gervais back again for a second dose. (more…)
The 2012 People’s Choice Awards dominated LA last night and with the show being beamed live to a huge audience, this article is a closer look at who performed at the show, who was sitting with who in the audience with some general audience shots inside the Nokia Theatre and who was getting friendly with who backstage at this major event with of course photo coverage!
Performances at the event were by Faith Hill and Demi Lovato and the main presentation was done by Kaley Cuoco of ”The Big Bang Theory” fame, who seemed to dominate this event both on stage and backstage. Robert Pattinson grabs the headline with the chopped off look and his win of the Favourite Drama Movie Award for “Water for Elephants”. He and Betty White were getting friendly backstage and then Pattinson moved onto Twilight co star Ashley Greene to keep the photogs happy. Morgan Freeman who won Favourite Movie Icon and Ewan McGregor seemed to be the best of pals behind the scenes and Maroon 5′s Adam Levine and James Valentine were obliging with a few backstage shots of their award for “Favourite Band” . Portia de Rossi and Ellen DeGeneres seemed best of friends as well with Ellen winning the Favourite Daytime TV Host award. Further backstage photo highlights below.
