The Great Expectations Premiere was held last night as part of the 56th BFI London Film Festival and this was the closing film premiere for this film festival event. There was big turnout in celebrity terms as you would expect.
Helena Bonham Carter (Tim Burton’s other half) was the star of the show and in red carpet terms she stole it and looked very much on the money in a black and white number
The film stars Helena Bonham Carter, Ralph Fiennes and Jeremy Irvine. We have some names here!
Basically the over riding question was this:
“Are you willing to stand in Leicester Sqaure on a miserable Sunday afternoon in the rain for hours for the likes of Helena Bonham Carter and Famefad.com visitors and risk shorting out the camera in the process? The answer was a “Yes” on this occassion.

The ‘On The Road’ Premiere was held yesterday during the 65th Annual Cannes Film Festival at the Palais des Festivals. This year they are saving the more prominent premieres for the end of the event and this is one of those in cast terms although the budget on this is a mere $25M.
This film is in the road movie style and stars featured include such names as Sam Riley, Garrett Hedlund, Kristen Stewart, Kirsten Dunst, Viggo Mortensen and Amy Adams. Most of those names were in attendance for the premiere with the most notable being Kristen Stewart with beau Robert Pattinson also at Cannes for the first time by all accounts.

Was just thinking yesterday that nearly every man and his dog is down here at the 2012 Cannes Film Festival, anybody that is anybody is here, surely a top socialite such as Kim Kardashian wouldn’t miss out on a fame magnet event like this……surely? Come to think of it this would be right up Paris Hilton’s Boulevard as well? . Lo and behold, no sooner has that thought passed through the mind, KK has been spotted arriving at Cannes with Paris Hilton hot on her heels (or is it the other way round).

Cannes Film Festival is buzzing although the weather hasn’t recently, with some unusual rain at the event but this being The Med rain doesn’t stay for long. Another huge influx of stars arrived for Day 6 of the 2012 Cannes Film Festival and some more photos of stars in casual mode as far removed from the red carpet at Cannes as you can get. Paparazzi photos is the topic here.
A quick scan of the names papped and we have Rita Ora, Ronan Keating. Karolina Kurkova, Tamara Beckwith, Irina Shayk and Cassie Ventura and Nick Cave. Full celebrity names photographed at foot. Rita Ora was the most heavily photographed in this gallery but gone with Nick Cave of Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds fame billed by many as the modern day Leonard Cohen, for me that name just stands out on the list for obvious reasons……he’s a character.
